10th International Conference on “Advanced Technologies and Innovations in Tourism & Hospitality Industry” (ATITHI 2025)

Introduction

The two-day 10th International Conference “ATITHI 2025” on the theme “Advanced Technologies and Innovations in the Tourism & Hospitality Industry” was inaugurated on 6th December 2025 at Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management (BCSCHM), a constituent college of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut.

The international conference was organized by Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management in academic collaboration with the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Dehradun, bringing together academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students from India and abroad to deliberate on innovation, technology, and research in tourism and hospitality. The inaugural session began with the traditional lighting of the lamp before Goddess Saraswati, followed by Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing knowledge and wisdom. The dignitaries were welcomed through the presentation of saplings and mementos, reflecting the institution’s commitment to sustainability and respect.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Indraneel Bose, Head of Institution, BCSCHM, who highlighted the vision of ATITHI 2025 and emphasized the importance of academic–industry collaboration. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, shared inspirational thoughts and extended his best wishes for the success of the conference, stressing the role of research and innovation in higher education. The Chief Guest, Chef Kevin Duthel, internationally renowned French Patissier and Executive Chef of L’Opéra, New Delhi, emphasized innovation in hospitality and culinary arts. He encouraged students to focus on creativity, product innovation in bakery and confectionery, and the promotion of India’s rich culinary heritage, while acknowledging the rapid growth and global opportunities in the Indian hospitality sector.

Keynote Sessions and Scholarly Engagement (6th December 2025)

The conference featured eminent keynote speakers including Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma (Principal, IHM Dehradun), Dr. Arunesh Parashar (Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar), Prof. (Dr.) Ajeet Kumar Singh (Royal Global University, Assam), Prof. (Dr.) Jatashankar R. Tiwari (IGNOU, New Delhi), Dr. Umakant Indolia (Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar), and Prof. (Dr.) Vimal Kumar (Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, Punjab).

They shared valuable insights on emerging technologies, sustainable tourism, hospitality innovation, research methodologies, entrepreneurship, and global trends shaping the future of the industry. A major highlight of the inaugural day was the formal release of the Conference Proceedings Book “ATITHI 2025”, marking a significant academic contribution.

Post-Lunch Technical Session – Day 1

On 6th December 2025, a Post-Lunch Technical Session was conducted, during which 16 research papers were presented by faculty members, scholars, and researchers. These papers covered diverse areas related to tourism, hospitality innovation, technology adoption, sustainability, service quality, and research advancements. The technical session encouraged critical discussions, peer learning, and scholarly exchange, strengthening the research orientation and academic depth of the conference.

Distinguished Participation and Recognition

The conference witnessed participation from more than 20 universities across India, along with international delegates from France, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, the USA, UAE, and Nepal, enhancing its global stature. During the event, 55 distinguished individuals were honored under various categories for their outstanding contributions to Hotel Management and Catering Technology education and practice. The program was efficiently anchored by Aman Tyagi (BHMCT 1st Year) and Roshni Tyagi (BHMCT 2nd Year). Special invited guests included Mr. Amit Chaudhary (CEO, DEX Company) and Mr. Naresh Thapliyal (Advisor – International Affairs, Subharti University).

Workshop Report – Day 2 (7th December 2025)

Introduction

The second day of ATITHI 2025 featured a specialized academic workshop on “Innovative Approaches to Statistical Analysis and Modern Technology in Research”, aimed at enhancing research competence among faculty members and scholars.
