12th Sardar Patel Subharti Moot Court Competition-2024
The Moot Court Association of 2024-2025 organized the 12th Sardar Patel Subharti Moot Court Competition. It was held on 16th & 17th October, 2024. This time there were two as well as three students constituting a team.
On 16th October, 2024
- Inauguration ceremony including draw of lots followed by Preliminary Rounds that was divided into two sessions
- The stage management was done by Isha Tyagi, Student Convenor (MCA)
- The Judges for the Preliminary Rounds were:-
- Dr. Ajay Raj Singh
- Mr. Arshad Alam
- Ms. Sonal Jain
- Mr. Harshit
- Mr. Ashutosh Deshwal
- In the preliminary Round, 9 teams presented their arguments from the appellant side and 9 presented from respondents. For the Semi Finals, only 4 teams shortlisted out of 19 as per the rules.
On 17th October, 2024
∙ The Judges for the Semi-Final Round were:-
- Dr. Sarika Tyagi (Associate Professor) & Ms. Ana Sisodia (Assistant Professor)
- Dr. Prem Chandra (Associate Professor) & Ms. Shalini Goel (Lecturer)
In the Semi Final Round, 2 teams presented their arguments from the appellant side and 2 presented from respondents. For the Final Round, 2 teams qualified.
∙ The Judges for the Final Round were:-
- Dr. Reena Bishnoi, Professor, Subharti Institute of Law
- Dr. Prem Chandra, Associate Professor, Subharti Institute of Law
∙ The Winner of the Competition are:-
- Best Team:-Gracy Chaudhary and Mukul Kumar
- Runner-Up Team:-Paramjeet Singh Hudda, Ankita Singh, Anushrestha Pratap Singh 3. Best Mooter:- Gracy Chaudhary
- Best Researcher:- Zoya Rao
- ∙ A team of 10 volunteers worked as Court Masters and helped throughout the Competition. ∙ Court-Masters/Volunteers-, Isha Tyagi, Anshika Singh, Kartik Sharma, Ritika Gupta, Om Thakur, Vivek Sharma, Shivam Sharma, Yashika Taliyan, Tushar Chaudhary
- ∙ After the final rounds, Valedictory Ceremony took place, where the finalists got certificates and trophies from the Honourable Dean Faculty of Law Dr Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya and Dr. AP Garg, Research and Development Director as an appreciation. After the Valedictory Ceremony Dr. AP Garg, Research and Development Director guided how mooters can work better on their presentation.
- ∙ After this, Mrs. Afreen Almas (Faculty Convenor of MCA) came for the vote of thanks & thanked all the participants, volunteers, respected judges and all faculty members for their support. ∙ The mementos and certificates for all the participants were distributed on 19th October, 2024.
