Faculty of Education organized 03 days National Workshop on Research Methodology and Statistical Applications (RMSA-2021). Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Maj. Gen. Dr. GK Thapliyal, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut was the chief guest of the workshop, Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Chaudhary was the resource person of the workshop. The organizing secretary of the workshop was Prof. Sandeep Kumar, Dean Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. Prof. Anoj Raj, Head Department of Education was the Jt. Secretary of the Workshop. Dr. Manju Adhikari, Associate Professor Department of Physical Education was the convener of the Workshop.
Prof. Sandeep Kumar delivered the welcome address and formerly welcomed the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Maj. Gen. G.K. Thapliyal in the workshop and thanked him for his valuable time. Prof. Anoj Raj welcomed the resource person and the resource person Prof. Rajeev Chaudhary, Dean Student Welfare, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh in the workshop and also highlighted his academic achievements. The Workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Maj. Gen. G.K. Thapliyal Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor highlighted the broad area of research and the importance of conducting research methodology and statistical applications. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor also instructed the Dean’s and Heads of other colleges to organize such workshops on research methodology twice a month. Dean’s and Heads of other colleges/departments were also present in the workshop.
After the tea break, the resource person started his presentation and highlighted the basic concepts of research in the first session, and after that lunch was served. In the second session, the resource person Prof. Rajeev Chaudhary also deliberated on the basic concepts of statistics. The total no. of participants was 120 from different states like Delhi, Bihar, U.P, and Uttrakhand.
On the 2nd day of the workshop professor, Rajeev Chaudhary explained the parametric and nonparametric techniques, methods, and applications in statistics. Dr. Rajeev addressed and presented a wonderful presentation about the research proposal, dissertation and Synopsis then he explained the difference between research proposal and dissertation.
On the last day of the workshop, Dr. Rajeev explained how to test normality, the Application, and the method of ANOVA in the morning session. He explained the hardest topic in the easiest way. The last day of the national workshop was inaugurated by Dr.Manju Adhikari academic coordinator, Department of Physical Education, and Dr. Vibha Lakshmi assistant professor department of education. Chief executive officer of Subharti University Dr. Shalya Raj, Dr. Abhay Shankar Gowda Pro vice-chancellor, subject specialist Dr. Rajeev Chaudhary, Dr. Barkha Bhardwaj and Dr. Sandeep, dean of Faculty of education and HOD of department of education Dr. Anoj Raj, Faculty members, scholars, and students were welcomed by Dr. Manju Adhikari and Dr. Vibha Lakshmi. The keynote speaker Dr. Rajeev Chaudhary was honored by the chief executive officer Dr. Shalya Raj with momento and Dr. Barkha Bhardwaj was honored by the vice-chancellor of the university Dr. Abhay Shankar Gowda by giving the momento. Professor Dr. Sandeep Kumar dean of the faculty of education explained the purpose of organizing this workshop and thanked the CEO, Pro VC, the main speaker Dr. Rajeev, and everyone present in the workshop. The Chief Guest of the program Dr. Shalya Raj congratulated the dean, faculty of education Dr. Sandeep for organizing the workshop on a relevant and important topic. Professor Rajeev thanked the vice-chancellor of the university, chief executive officer Dr. Shalya Raj, Pro vice-chancellor, and congratulated Dr. Sandeep Kumar dean, faculty of education for organizing the international workshop and also shared his wonderful experience in the university. A vote of thanks was given by doctor Anoj Kumar head of the Department of Education. Certificates were distributed to the participants at the end of the workshop.
