2D/3D Model Making Competition
Objective of the Activity:-
- To foster creativity and innovation among students.
- To promote practical application of theoretical concepts.
- To develop design thinking and problem-solving skills.
- To encourage visual and tangible representation of ideas.
Description:-
The Ideation/Innovation Student’s Council of the Faculty of Law successfully organized a 2D and 3D Model Making Competition as a part of the Annual Week celebrations. The aim of this event was to foster creativity and encourage students to express innovative ideas through physical and visual representations.Student Coordinators of the event, Isha Tyagi, Kasak and Akshdeep Kaur efficiently managed the entire activity, ensuring smooth coordination and active participation. On the day of the competition, students showcased their 2D and 3D models before the panel of judges, who evaluated each entry based on creativity, relevance, innovation, and presentation. The panel of esteemed judges included:1. Dr. Sarika Tyagi, Associate Professor, Faculty of Law 2. Ms. Ana Sisodia, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law 3. Ms. Shalini Goel, Lecturer, Faculty of Law.The Valedictory Ceremony was held on 4th April 2025, graced by Justice Rajesh Chandra, Former Judge, High Court of Allahabad and Director of the Faculty of Law. The ceremony commenced with the Director Sir’s address to the gathering, which included students, faculty members, judges, and participants. During the ceremony, the Annual Week Report was presented to the Director Sir, giving an overview of the week’s events and accomplishments. As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented by the Director Sir to all the judges of the competition. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the winners of the model-making competition were honored. Winners of the 3D Model Making Competition were- 1st Prize – Ayush Anand,2nd Prize – Vishakha, Muskan, Khushi Tyagi – Consolation Prize – Harsh Verma, Itee Goswami,Winners of the 2D Model Making Competition:- 1st Prize – Prarthana ,- 2nd Prize – Sonia .The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Sarika Tyagi Ma’am, acknowledging the efforts of all participants, coordinators, judges, and the support of the faculty.This event not only highlighted the creative potential of law students but also reinforced the vision of integrating innovation and ideation within legal education.
Outcome of the Activity:-
1. Enhanced Creativity and Innovation: Students demonstrated increased creativity and innovation by developing original ideas and practical solutions, aligning with the aim to foster creativity and design thinking.
2. Practical Application of Theoretical Knowledge: Participants effectively translated theoretical concepts into tangible
models and real-world applications, promoting a deeper understanding of their academic learning.
3.Development of Problem-Solving and Teamwork Skills: Students exhibited improved problem-solving abilities, collaboration, and time management skills through team-based ideation and model-building activities.
4.Strengthened Culture of Innovation on Campus :The event boosted engagement with innovation-driven initiatives, strengthened the role of the student’s Innovation/ideation Council, and nurtured a healthy competitive spirit among students.
