Vahirang 2k22 started with flying colours

Meerut: Media Fest Vahirang 2k22 of the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication started with great enthusiasm. The Fest was inaugurated by the chief guest Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, SM (Retd.), Hon’ble Vice-chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. Special Guest Pro-VC Prof. (Dr.) Abhay Shankargawda, Dean Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Dean Faculty of Education, Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kapil, Dean Faculty of Physiotherapy and Allied Sciences, Dr. Jasmine Anandabai, HOD of Education, Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj along with HOD Political Science and Sociology, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Tripathi graced the occasion.

Vahirang 2k22 started with flying colours by Marketing & Communication

The program started with the lamp lighting and welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Karan Singh, Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences. In his address, Prof. (Dr.) Singh told the audience about the various programs & activities run by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. He said that this day was eagerly awaited not only by the students of BJMC & MJMC but also by the students of various universities and colleges of Meerut & NCR. Dr. Gunjan Sharma the convener of the Program explained the VAHIRANG 2K22 and the various events to the audience present there.

In his words of blessings, the Hon’ble Vice-chancellor said that the meaning of VAHIRANG is the colour of life which is filled in our inner-self and when we mix these colours with the external colours it became VAHIRANG. He also told that colours replace the boredom of life and bring happiness and joy to everyone’s life. He gave his best wishes to the organizing committee and the participants. Students of the BJMC final year also took the privilege of his (VC sir’s) presence and requested him to cut the cake in order to start the Vahirang 2K22.

In her wishes and blessings, the CEO of the university Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj said that VAHIRANG is meant for the all-around development of students and also it helps in developing the qualities of a good future leader. She told that since its origin the fest VAHIRANG is established as a brand among the media houses, colleges and universities of DELHI-NCR along with Meerut.

In the opening session of events the Rangoli Making competition, Poster Making, Quiz, Essay writing, Photography, Debate and Open Mic with Mehandi were held and students from various colleges and universities participated in these events.

At the end of the event, Dr. Kamal Kishore Upadhyay express a vote of thanks to the audience and the dignitaries presented there. While Kajal Dutt Sharma and Suhail Saifi hosted the event with their well build script and energetic style. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Tyagi, Dr. Harish Kumar, Mr. Ram Prakash Tiwari, Mr. Vinod Kumar, Mrs. Shruti Nagar, Dr. Rafat Kahnam, Dr. Durvesh Kumar, Dr. Neha and Mr. Zaheer Ahmad were also present.

Day 2

The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Faculty of Arts and Social Science hosted the two-day media fest VAHIRANG 2k22 with great enthusiasm and success. On day two of the event, the rocking performances of the participants left the audience awestruck and asking for more. The noise of the encore – “Once more, Once More” muted everything else around it.

The event started with the traditional lamp lighting in front of the goddess Saraswati in the Guru Teg Bahadur Auditorium of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. Mr. Vijay Saini, a famous musician, and composer were present to judge the contestants in the singing competition. Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Tripathi felicitated the chief judge Vijay Soni and Prof. Ashok Tyagi, while Dr. K.K. Upadhyay presented the sampling to Dr. Rafat Khanam who was the third judge and welcomed all the other judges.

Convener of the VAHIRANG 2k22 and associate Professor at the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication welcomed the guests and judges along with the participants of various events and students who came to Subharti University to attend Vahirang 2k22. In her welcome note, she said that VAHIRANG 2k22 is meant for the all-around development of students. Dean FoASS Professor (Dr.) Neeraj Karan Singh gave his blessings and best wishes to all the students and participants.

In the solo singing category, the event started with a presentation of “O mere Humdam” the famous number from Bollywood by Ms. Mahak. While “AApki Nazron ne Samjha Pyar ke Kabil Hamein” was sung by Anushka Tandon. Mohinis Sharma presented the bouquet of legendary Bollywood songs by the late Kishor Da. Arya Chaurasiya sung the song “Kyon Aajkal Neend”. Chandranshu, Juhi, Harshita, Ashish, Chandan, Shivam, Anushka, Sarthak, Madhav, Maril were among the other singers who enthralled the crowd. Both Sherry Singh and Sachin Senwal presented a self-composed Rap Song and forced the audiences to tap their feet to the rhythm.

Mr. Rajkumar Singh founder of Experts carrier guides, Mrs. Asha Chauhan founder of Bani-Thani Collections a destination for traditional dresses of Rajasthan, Mrs. Puja Nirula of Creatif Designing Interior Decoration Expert, and Mr. Karan Singh founder of Ken Singh wedding photography were also present as the sponsors of the media fest VAHIRANG 2k22. All the dignitaries applauded the performances and performers with open hearts.

During the second part of the event, twin sisters and students of the Department of Performing Arts, Subharti University who are famous as the Khan Sisters captivated the audience. Ms. Akansha along with her team from Meerut College and Arya Chaurasiya along with teammates from MIET college also stunned the crowd in the group singing category.

Other than these performances, Solo Dance and Fashion Show were the other events where students from various streams of Subharti University and other institutions and universities of Delhi-NCR and Meerut participated. The team from Kalanidhi Dance College presented a special performance during the event.
