On 26th August 2025, an educational visit was organized for the GNM 1st year 2025 batch. A total of 72 students actively participated in the visit. The purpose of this visit was to create awareness among students about community service, compassionate care, and the importance of social responsibility in the nursing profession.

The students visited Jyoti Niwas, where they interacted with 12 specially-abled girls residing under the care of the Sisters (Nuns). Later, they proceeded to Prem Niwas, which houses 25 male residents, also looked after by the Sisters. The students observed the dedicated service of the caretakers and learned about the challenges faced by differently-abled individuals and those in need of continuous support.

To make the day memorable for the residents, the students organized a small celebration. They cut a cake to spread joy and distributed various necessary items to the residents as a gesture of love and care. The interaction helped the students develop empathy, communication skills, and an understanding of holistic nursing care beyond the hospital setting.

The entire visit was assisted and guided by Ms. Nidhi, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Rajesh Rani, Assistant Professor, whose presence and support ensured that the program was conducted smoothly and meaningfully.

The visit was enriching and left a deep impact on the students, highlighting the significance of compassion, service, and human connection in nursing.
