Outreach Activity on “Women Empowerment” under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan

Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, organized an outreach activity on “Women Empowerment” under the ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan’, a flagship campaign of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, on 8th October 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness about women’s rights, equality, education, and leadership, emphasizing the importance of women’s participation in social and economic development.

As part of the initiative, students performed a Nukkad Natak (street play) in Village Bhola, Meerut, to spread awareness about women’s empowerment, gender equality, and the importance of education for girls. The performance effectively conveyed powerful messages about breaking stereotypes, encouraging self-reliance, and building a safe and inclusive society for women.

The program was successfully conducted under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Manoj Kapil (Dean & Principal) and Dr. Shravan Garg (Head, Department of CSE & IT). The event was coordinated by Dr. Amit Kishor (Associate Professor), Dr. Ashima (Associate Professor).
