A COLLABORATIVE CLINICAL SYMPOSIUM 2026 ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF MUSCULOSKELETAL PHYSIOTHERAPY, JPSCP, SVSU
The Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, successfully organized “A Collaborative Clinical Symposium” on 11th March 2026 at the Maharani Laxmi Bai Auditorium. The theme of the symposium was “Multidisciplinary Approaches in Musculoskeletal Care,” focusing on the importance of collaborative healthcare in improving patient outcomes.
The program commenced with a formal opening ceremony, which began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. The lamp was lit by the distinguished guest speakers Dr. Parwej Ahmed, Dr. Apoorva Mawar, Dr. Astha Aggarwal, along with the Dr. Danish Nouman, Head, Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and the Prof. (Dr) Amit Kumar Goel, Officiating Principal, Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy. The ceremony marked the official inauguration of the symposium and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare.
The symposium was organized under the Supervision of Dr. Danish Nouman, Head of the Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and guidance of Prof. (Dr) Amit Kumar Goel,, Officiating Principal, Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, whose support and leadership played a vital role in the successful execution of the program. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 166 participants, including 15 faculty members and 151 students.
The academic sessions included expert lectures delivered by renowned specialists from different healthcare disciplines. Dr. Parwej Ahmed, Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, delivered an insightful lecture on the orthopaedic perspective of musculoskeletal disorders and surgical considerations in rehabilitation. Dr. Apoorva Mawar, from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, explained the interdisciplinary management of temporomandibular joint disorders and maxillofacial conditions, highlighting the role of physiotherapy in rehabilitation.
Dr. Astha Aggarwal, Director of Optima Hospital, Meerut, presented valuable insights into neurodevelopment and behavioral aspects in pediatric patients, emphasizing the importance of early identification and multidisciplinary management. Additionally, Dr. Aanchal Gupta, a postgraduate student from the Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, delivered a presentation focusing on clinical approaches in musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
The sessions were interactive and informative, allowing students to gain practical insights into integrated healthcare practices. The symposium concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Danish Nouman, Head of the Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, who expressed gratitude to the guest
