Alumni Lecture on Career Opportunities after B.Ed.

Department of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University organised an alumni lecture on “Career Opportunities after B.Ed. in the Present Scenario.” The session featured Ms. Dipti, a distinguished alumna of the Department of Education, who completed her M.Ed. from Subharti University. She has qualified Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination and is currently working as a TGT Science teacher in Patna.

The lecture was conducted in hybrid mode in the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Education, SVSU. Programme began at 2:00 PM with a welcome address by anchor, Ms. Arti Sharma, followed by a Saraswati Vandana. This was followed by the opening remarks by Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, SVSU. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Dean of the Faculty of Education & Fine Arts, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, also addressed the students. He encouraged them to work with dedication and highlighted the importance of such academic events in shaping their future. During her lecture, Ms. Dipti shared her experiences and emphasized how the knowledge and training she received from Department of Education at Subharti University played a vital role in her preparation and selection. She stated that the teaching profession not only brings great respect in society but also offers a highly rewarding career.

The alumna explained how the teaching field provides immense opportunities and emphasized that students must focus on mastering their subjects and developing essential skills such as communication, emotional regulation, and professionalism to achieve both recognition and financial stability.

She further motivated the students by saying that success is certain when one prepares with honesty, hard work, patience, and a clear goal. She also guided them about various career options after B.Ed., including government jobs, private sector opportunities, and starting coaching institutes.

The lecture was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session where students actively participated and clarified their doubts. The programme concluded with an official vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Rubi, Vice President of the Alumni Trust SVSU and Programme & Alumni In-charge of the Department of Education.
