AVGSCMC Hosts Awareness Program on Accelerators & Incubation Opportunities for Early Stage Entrepreneurs
MEERUT, Uttar Pradesh – June 13, 2026 – The Acharya Vishnu Gupt Subharti College of Management & Commerce (AVGSCMC) at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) successfully organized an insightful awareness program today, focusing on Accelerators & Incubation Opportunities for Early Stage Entrepreneurs. The event, conducted through two engaging online sessions, aimed to enlighten undergraduate and postgraduate students of Management & Commerce, as well as faculty members, on the dynamic landscape of startup support ecosystems.
The program commenced with an opening address by Prof. (Dr.) Padma Misra, Dean Faculty of Management & Commerce, who set the stage for a day of learning and inspiration. Prof. Misra also conducted an interview with Dr. Krishna Kumar Sharma, enriching the session with practical insights.
Session 01: Accelerators & Incubation Opportunities for Early Stage Entrepreneurs
The first session was led by Dr. Gaurab Kumar Sharma, Associate Professor at AVGSCMC, SVSU. Dr. Sharma provided a comprehensive overview of startups, delving into the critical roles of accelerators and incubators. He elucidated their importance in nurturing nascent ventures and explained how these platforms significantly benefit startups, teachers, and faculty members alike. A key highlight of his session was raising awareness about the CM YUVA portal, a crucial initiative for aspiring entrepreneurs. Students were actively encouraged to explore the registration portal and leverage its offerings.
Session 02: Accelerators & Incubation Opportunities for Early Stage Entrepreneurs
The second session featured Dr. Krishna Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, SVSU, and Coordinator – SIRC (Startup Research and Innovation Centre), SVSU. Dr. Sharma elaborated on the extensive facilities and support mechanisms available at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University to assist students in establishing their own startups. He highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit by providing resources such as co-working spaces, dedicated cabins, meeting rooms, prototyping labs, and technical assistance.
He also emphasized the importance of mentorship, explaining how experienced faculty, industry experts, and successful entrepreneurs guide startups through strategic planning, market understanding, and risk identification.
Furthermore, Dr. Sharma detailed the university’s role in helping startups secure funding, including seed funding, and connecting them with angel investors and venture capitalists.
Students and faculty members demonstrated keen interest throughout both sessions, actively participating in question-and-answer segments and clearing their queries. The program served as a successful endeavor to cultivate awareness regarding the CM YUVA initiative and the myriad of accelerator and incubation opportunities available to early-stage entrepreneurs.
Prof. (Dr.) Padma Misra concluded the program by delivering a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the speakers, participants, and organizers for their contributions to the event’s success.
