Painting Competition Organized on the Themes of National Character, Unity and Nation-Building

Celebration of Akhand Bharat ka Swatantrata Diwas Mahaparv by the Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science

Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science, organized a Painting Competition as part of the celebration of Akhand Bharat ka Swatantrata Diwas Mahaparv.  The event was organized with the objective of providing participants with a creative platform to express their ideas and perspectives on leadership, national character, discipline, national unity, sacrifice, nationalism, and the role of youth in nation-building. The event was organized under the guidance and supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Gaur, Head of the Department, and was coordinated by Dr. Manshi. The programme witnessed the active participation and support of all faculty members of the Department, whose collective efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the competition. The competition was held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science, Fine Arts College, 4th Floor. Participants were given the opportunity to select any one theme from the following: “Netaji’s Leadership and National Character,” “Azad Hind Fauj and Discipline,” “Jai Hind and National Unity,” “Sacrifice and Nation-Building,” “Nationalism and Modern India,” “National Character and Youth,” and “Role of Youth in Nation-Building.” The paintings were prepared on the spot, encouraging participants to demonstrate their creativity, originality, artistic skills, and understanding of the selected theme within the stipulated time. The entries were evaluated by the designated judges on the basis of creativity and originality, relevance to the theme, artistic presentation, composition and visual impact, and overall impression. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and provided a meaningful opportunity for participants to communicate important national and social values through artistic expression. The activity also contributed towards promoting awareness about national unity, discipline, patriotism, sacrifice, responsible citizenship, and youth participation in nation-building. The successful completion of the competition was made possible through the active participation and cooperation of the students, all faculty members, judges, and the organizing team. The event concluded successfully and added to the spirit of the Akhand Bharat ka Swatantrata Diwas Mahaparv celebrations.
