The Mechanical Engineering Department of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, and Institute Innovation Council organized a motivational lecture on “Achieving Innovative Excellence Through Self-Exploration” on 11th September 2025. The event began with the lighting of the lamp and prayer to Goddess Saraswati, followed by the felicitation of guest speaker Professor Navneet Arora from IIT Roorkee by Dean of FET, Dr. Manoj Kapil. This lecture has been conceptualized and coordinated by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar and Er. Krishna Kumar Sharma, under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Manoj Kapil.
Professor Navneet Arora emphasized the importance of self-awareness and inner exploration as the basis for innovative excellence. He explained that curiosity, resilience, and continuous self-improvement help individuals succeed academically and professionally. Comparing personal growth to an engineering cycle, he stressed observation, experimentation, reflection, and refinement as keys to progress.Professor Arora offered practical strategies to overcome challenges and unlock potential. The lecture left a strong impact, motivating students to connect personal growth with creativity, innovation, and societal contribution.
More than 80 students and faculty members attended and benefited from the lecture. The IQAC Director, Dr. Kapil Kumar; HOD of CSE, Dr. Shrawan Kumar; and HOD of Food Technology, Dr. Vishal Kumar, were also present during the lecture. The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session and a heartfelt vote of thanks by Er. K. K. Sharma, leaving students and faculty deeply motivated.
