“ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION”
On 14.02.25 a Group Discussion was organized by the Moot Court Association on the topic “Role of AI in legal profession”. It was held under the guidance of Afreen Almas (Faculty Convener, MCA) where all the students participated with great enthusiasm. The discussion was started by Gautam, he says that AI is in the developing phase and in upcoming years it will play a major role in the legal profession. While Om Thakur holds the view that law is nothing but logic and common sense but in the case of AI both remain meaningless. Tanu further added that AI will destroy the productivity of human beings by restricting research but Ritika Gupta responded that AI will not harm productivity it will help more in research by providing new ways. While Om holds the view, if the influence of AI will rise in the legal profession it will result in unemployment for all the aged people who are not well aware of the technicalities.
The discussion comes to the conclusion it depends upon us how we use it. If we use AI in an appropriate way it will definitely result in a great change in the legal profession.
