7th Subharti & Unmukt Bharat National Debate Competition-2022

Faculty Of Law is ranked among the top 25 colleges in law story of Aspire India Today, 2018. It has also received the Best Academic Curriculum Award supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Youth for Human Rights, and Digital School of Law, in Legal Desire Summit and Award 2018. In GHRDC law school survey 2018- the Faculty scored 1st Rank in the Category of Excellence and 4th Rank in the State of Uttar Pradesh. REPORT

Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of law and Unmukt Bharat in association with Literary Club jointly organized its 7th Subharti and Unmukt Bharat National Debate competition, 2022 . The Debate was organized under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) G.K Thapliyal (retd. Major General).
In 2014, the founder of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, who is also the founder of Unmukt Bharat, Dr. Atul Krishna Sir envisioned that every year a debate competition shall be organized at the degree level on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. His vision was most respectfully and cordially received by the entire faculty of law and since then there has been no turning back. Earlier it was conducted for the people belonging to the law fraternity but like in previous years, this year also students of 11th and 12th participated with great zeal and non-law students also showed great interest in this debate.
The Literary Club is founded with an aim to inculcate among students a flair for the language and enhance their literary skills and also to induce reading habits in students. To encourage students to become orators and display their intellectual, independent thinking skills and imbibe a sense of confidence. To provide a platform for poetry events. To develop communication skills and confidence various activities are planned throughout the year like Debates, Elocution, speeches, storytelling, talk shows, seminar, quiz, symposiums, dialogue conversations,s, etc.

DATE(s):-
The event was conducted within a span of three days i.e., on the 9th (School Level), 11th (Degree Level), and 12th April 2022(Prize announcement ceremony).

TOPIC:-
The topic for school level and degree level was “Religion Based Address by Politicians is Against Public Policy and Stroke on Humanity” or “राजनेताओं द्वार धर्म पर आधारित सम्बोधन नीति विरुद्ध एवं मानवता पर कुठाराघात है” which was held on April 9th and 11th April 2022.

PARTICIPATION:-
16 participants from 8 schools representing 3 States and 46 participants from 23 colleges representing almost 10 States across the country were registered, respectively.
The event was hosted by Ms. Sristhi Bhardwaj, student co-convener of the Moot Court Association. Dr. Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean, Faculty of law, Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law, gave a Welcome address on both days.

JUDGES:-
On 9th April the judges for the event were Ms. Nisha Singh Assistant Professor (CPJ School of Law, Delhi), and Ms. Neha Bahl Assistant Professor (Amity University Noida)
The judges on 11th April were Dr. Mohammad Arif, HOD, Department of Law, AMU, Murshidabad, Advocate Govind Bali, Supreme Court of India, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, HOD Political Science and Sociology, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.

RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT:-
On 12th April the report of the two days event was presented by Miss Ana Sisodia, Faculty Coordinator, Literary Club. Thereafter, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Sir, Prof. (Dr.) V.P. Singh addressed the virtual audience with his valuable words and wished them a tremendous amount of success in their future endeavors. Director Subharti Law College, Justice Rajesh Chandra, also showered his blessings on the Participants. Next, the much-awaited results were announced by Ms. Ana Sisodia followed by a vote of thanks.
