As it is a “Demand of Today’s” time to have industrial exposure other than bookish knowledge, the Training and Placement Cell along with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Subharti Institute of Technology & Engineering organized an Industrial Visit to Simbhaoli Sugar Mills Hapur for students of B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering, and Food Technology. A group of 19 students participated in this visit and had hands-on opportunities to have a look at the pragmatic working scenarios in the Sugar Mill. It was a first-time experience for many of them. This visit was organized under the scheme of the Academic calendar during the course curriculum for knowledge enhancements thus the students who participated got a great opportunity to get an exposure to the details of the sugar manufacturing technology, special products of sugar, and bagasse based power generation technology which are not usually visible, by witnessing the dismantled machinery and equipment. They also had a chance to observe the proficiency and management of officials in maintaining large payloads of trucks and other vehicles at the mills. Sugar sachet packaging and other logistical activities were also observed by the students. Overall it was a great learning experience for the candidates.
