In this context, Dr. Seema Sharma, Head of the Department of Languages and Convenor, Centre for Diaspora Studies, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), was conferred with this international honor in recognition of her remarkable contribution to the promotion of Hindi and Indian languages.
The institute bestows this award upon women who have played a vital role in successfully organizing and contributing to its various academic and cultural initiatives. These include programs such as the International Rajbhasha Utsav, International Mother Language Festival, Tasveer Kya Bole, and several other literary and cultural events aimed at promoting Indian languages, culture, and literature.
Dr. Sharma has actively participated in and supported these initiatives, significantly contributing to the wider dissemination of awareness and dialogue surrounding Hindi and Indian languages. In recognition of her dedicated efforts, the institute conferred upon her the “Nari Shakti Bhasha Samman–2026” as a mark of appreciation.
