A truly special, emotional, and unforgettable chapter was added to the history of Rani Chennamma Girls’ Hostel, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, with the grand and dignified formal farewell ceremony organized for the BDS 20th Batch students. This occasion was historic as it marked the first time that a batch was being bid farewell with such honor and meticulous arrangement by the hostel. The ceremony was not merely a farewell event; it was an emotional moment of cherishing years of hard work, struggles, memories, relationships and experiences. Every corner of the hostel, every face and every word bore witness to a day that would leave a lasting imprint on everyone’s hearts.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. To make this special occasion even more memorable, a beautifully framed group photograph of the BDS 20th Batch was presented to them as a memento. The unveiling of this frame was done with great respect and affection by Professor (Dr.) Monika Mehrotra, Senior Warden of RCGH and RGGH hostel. This moment was deeply emotional for all as that single photograph captured the students’ hard work, friendship, struggles and countless memories.

In her inspiring and heartfelt address, Professor (Dr.) Monika Mehrotra congratulated the BDS 20th Batch students on completing their academic journey. Wishing them a bright, successful and empowered future. She stated that this hostel is not just a place to live but a family where they have imbibed important life values, discipline and self-reliance. She conveyed the message that they should carry forward the knowledge, moral values and human sensitivities learned at Subharti University in every step of their future, achieving excellence in their respective fields and bringing glory to society and the nation.

The success of this event was largely due to the tireless efforts and dedication of the hostel wardens, Mrs. Samta and Mrs. Antim. Their efficient management, disciplined approach, and affection for the students made the program smooth and impactful. Their hard work and commitment proved that when work is done from the heart, it becomes an example in itself.

The role of the junior students of the hostel was highly commendable in making this ceremony even more emotional. They expressed their respect and love for their seniors through affectionate words, best wishes and emotional farewell messages. This emotional connection between seniors and juniors was proof that the hostel is not just a building but a strong foundation of relationships and belonging.

During the program smiles on the students’ faces were accompanied by visible emotions of farewell. Memories of past years, moments spent together, support in struggles and small joys all seemed to come alive in a single moment. This farewell symbolized the completion of one chapter of their lives and the beginning of new dreams.

At the conclusion, it was clearly felt that the strong sense of community and mutual cooperation present in Rani Chennamma Girls’ Hostel is its greatest identity. This ceremony became a golden memory not only for the BDS 20th Batch but also for the history of the hostel. Undoubtedly, this historic farewell ceremony left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone involved—a moment that will be remembered with pride and emotion for years to come.
