National Press Day Was Celebrated in Subharti University

On the occasion of National Press Day, a lecture on the topic ‘Media in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI)’ was organized in the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Subharti Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. During this, senior journalist Pramod Kumar shared his views with the students in a meeting in online mode and answered their questions appropriately. He said that the use of artificial intelligence will help in empowering the media and accurate and solid information will reach the readers. While sharing his journalism experiences with the students, Pramod Kumar said that it is important to have factual information in the media, only then the credibility of journalists and journalism can be built.
In his address, Pramod Kumar said that amidst the increasing trend of AI, young and senior journalists should learn new technologies and also improve the art of writing. Today, AI is undoubtedly spreading its wings rapidly, but it is not for the long haul, along with this, attention should also be paid to developing one’s skills.
This program was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Chandra Thaledi, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, while the program was coordinated and conducted by Ram Prakash Tiwari and Madhur Sharma. In his presidential address, Dr. Thaledi said that today’s youths are required to learn and hone new technologies, along with it they should also keep increasing their skills and general knowledge, because only knowledge and skills will be useful to them in the field. He also said new technology and facilities can help you but they cannot replace you. Apart from this, news and articles can be written using AI, but such technologies can never match your emotions and thinking abilities.
During this the teachers of the department included Preeti Singh, Madhur Sharma, and Ram Prakash Tiwari along with the students like Monu, Tina, Varsha, Poonam, Bhoomi, Manisha, Suman Kumar, Harshit, Vansh, Garima, Laiba, Ansh, Harsh Basuta, Harshul, Sumaiya, Vishesh, Palak, Arpit, Shakib, Mohit, Manshi, Shaista, Mohammad Javed, Sadaf were present.
