A guest lecture on the topic “Use of AI Tools in Sports Sciences and Physical Education” was organized by the Major Dhyan Chand Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education, University of Delhi. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guest Professor Ranjan Chakravarty from Medical College, University of Delhi, an expert in the field of AI applications in health and sports sciences.
The session began with a warm welcome of the guest by Professor (Lt.) Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Head of the Department of Physical Education. A sapling was presented to Professor Chakravarty as a gesture of respect and appreciation for his presence.
The lecture focused on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in the domain of sports science and physical education. Professor Chakravarty shared in-depth insights into cutting-edge AI tools and their practical applications in sports performance analysis, injury prevention, athlete monitoring, and personalized training programs. He also emphasized the growing relevance of data-driven decision-making in coaching and physical education pedagogy.
