Department of Education Celebrates Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026 with “Selfie with Tiranga” on 15-08-2026.
Objectives
The major objectives of the activity were:
To strengthen the values of national unity, integrity and responsible citizenship.
To encourage active participation in national initiatives and commemorative activities.
To create a sense of emotional connection and pride towards the National Flag.
To promote awareness about the significance of Independence Day and the values associated with the Tiranga.
The Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, enthusiastically participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026 by organizing a “Selfie with Tiranga” activity on the occasion of Independence Day. The activity was organized by activity coordinator Dr. Reeba Devi, Assistant Professor DOE, FOE, SVSU, in accordance with the circular received from the Registrar’s Office, SVSU, and aimed at fostering patriotism, national pride, unity and respect for the National Flag. On the successful organization of the activity, Prof. Dr. Pintu Mishra, Dean, Fine Art & Faculty of Education, and Dr. Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, congratulated all the participants for their enthusiastic participation and collective efforts. They appreciated the initiative for promoting patriotism, national pride, unity and respect for the National Flag, and encouraged everyone to continue participating actively in such meaningful national and educational initiatives.
Faculty members, Students Research Scholar, Class Coordinators, parents, and Non-Teaching Staff actively participated in the campaign by taking selfies with the Tiranga and sharing them through the prescribed departmental channel for further compilation and uploading on the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal. Participants also ensured that the National Flag was displayed and handled with due dignity and in accordance with the Flag Code of India. The activity provided an engaging platform for members of the Department to express their love for the nation and reinforced the values of unity, integrity and responsible citizenship. The enthusiastic participation also strengthened collective involvement in a nationwide initiative and created a meaningful emotional connection with the National Flag.

The “Selfie with Tiranga” initiative successfully created a spirit of patriotism and togetherness made the celebration of Independence Day a meaningful and participatory experience.
