On the occasion of International Youth Day, celebrated worldwide on 12th August 2026, the Departments of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy of Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized two engaging and meaningful activities based on the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”

The programs aimed to promote youth wellness, physical fitness, resilience, creativity, professional awareness, and the importance of physiotherapy in supporting a healthy and productive young population. Both activities provided students with opportunities to demonstrate their physical abilities, creativity, knowledge, and commitment towards health and wellness.

The Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, SVSU organized a Poster Competition on the theme “Physiotherapy for Youth Wellness: Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.” The activity was organized to create awareness among students about the significant role of physiotherapy in promoting the health, fitness, and overall well-being of youth. A total of 21 students actively participated in the competition and showcased their creativity, knowledge, and understanding through informative and visually appealing posters.

The posters highlighted various aspects of youth wellness, including regular physical activity, healthy lifestyle practices, posture correction, ergonomics, injury prevention, exercise, and the role of physiotherapy in maintaining optimal physical health.

The competition provided an excellent platform for students to express their ideas creatively while enhancing their understanding of the preventive and health-promoting role of physiotherapy.

The event was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Danish Nouman, HOD, Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. The active participation and enthusiastic involvement of the students contributed to the successful conduct of the programs.
