Triumph and Unity at the Inaugural Intramural Tug-of-War : Pratap House Claims Victory

The Major Dhyan Chand Department of Physical Education celebrated a day of spirited competition and unity during the inaugural intramural tug-of-war event organized by Azad House. This thrilling event, attended by chief guest  Major General G.K Thapliyal, VC of SVSU , Meerut, Mr. Pintu Mishra, and esteemed guests Ms. Neha Singh and Ms. Arpana. Students from four houses: Azad, Shivaji, Pratap, and Subhash was participated in the intramural.

The Head of the Department Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar extended a warm welcome to all participants and guests. In his opening speech, he emphasized the importance of physical fitness and teamwork, values deeply rooted in the world of sports. He commended the efforts of the organizing committee in putting together the event and encouraged students to give their best and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship.

 The Chief Guest, addressed the audience with words of inspiration. He highlighted the significance of sports in shaping character and fostering discipline among individuals. He shared personal anecdotes that underscored the valuable life lessons he had learned through sports. He encouraged the participants to compete with integrity, giving their all while enjoying the experience.

Ms. Neha Singh and Ms. Arpana, accomplished athletes and special guests, shared their remarkable journeys in the world of sports. They spoke of their humble beginnings and the dedication that propelled them to success.

The highlight of the event was the eagerly anticipated tug-of-war competition. Teams from each house displayed exceptional strength, strategy, and coordination as they battled for supremacy.
