A guest lecture was organized by Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University on 31st January, 2026 from 11:00 A.M to 01:00 P.M. The theme of the guest lecture was – “Indian Knowledge System and Ethical Issues in Research”.
Prof. Dhananjay Joshi, former founding Vice Chancellor, Delhi Teacher University, New Delhi; former Dean, School of Education, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi; and presently Professor of Education, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi remained the Expert Speaker of this guest lecture .
The event began with lightning of lamp to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati and simultaneous presentation of Saraswati Vandana by the students of B.El.Ed. VI Sem.- Ms. Lakshita and Ms. Aashita Sharma.
Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut and Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut conveyed their best wishes for the success of this event.
Lieutenant Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut welcomed all the respected guests, expert speaker, faculty member, research scholars and students in his welcome address and also presented a brief introduction of the theme of the guest lecture. He stressed on holistic education, value-based education, nation building etc. in his address and highlighted the role of the university in imbibing cultural knowledge and patriotic feelings among its students
Dr. D.C. Saxena, Director, Rashtrabodh, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University also remained present on this occasion. He presented the concept and importance of Rashtrabodh in his speech. He emphasized its role in the development in the National Consciousness, Moral Values, Cultural Awareness, and making a responsible citizen. He stated that intellectual and cultural heritage are necessary for empowering a nation.
Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, Head, Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut presented a brief introduction of the Expert Speaker. She highlighted the academic accomplishments, administrative competency, research contribution, awards and achievements etc. of the Expert Speaker.
This was followed by a highly impressive and powerful elaboration and presentation of the theme of the guest lecture by the Expert Speaker- Prof. Dhananjay Joshi. He began his speech by expressing his gratitude towards the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University for inviting him to the guest lecture in the capacity of the Expert Speaker. He also thanked all the respected guests, faculty members, organizers, research scholars and students present on this occasion.
His motivating lecture included the proud heritage, enriching culture as well as valuable contributions of the freedom fighters. He also stressed on education, science, philosophy, health and politics areas of the Indian Knowledge System while basing it on the indigenous knowledge.
