International Day of Midwife Celebration

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MIDWIFE, 6TH MAY 2023
The Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College,a constituent college of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut has organized a programme on International Midwives Day with the theme “Together again: from evidence to reality” on 05/05/2023. The International Midwives Day aims to provide midwives belonging to our MAs with a platform to share stories and key learnings from their impactful advocacy initiatives.The programme was conducted in Training Hall, at Pyare Lal Sharma District Hospital, Meerut.
The programmewas commenced at 11.00 am by welcoming the dignitaries and participants hosted by Mrs. Priya,M.Sc.(N) II Yr Student,Dept. of OBG Nursing followed by the inaugural session.The dignitaries for the programme were Dr. Ashok Katariya (Medical Superintendent) Pyare lal Sharma District Hospital.The importance of the day was explained byDr. Ashok Katariya (Medical Superintendent) Pyare lal Sharma District Hospitaland Mrs. Kaushalya Devi, Senior Nursing Officer hasshared her knowledge about roles and responsibilities of midwives.The zumba session by weight loss club member (B.Sc. Nursing IV year students) for Staff & participants was organized.The short session on computer literacy program for Staff and participantswas taken by Mrs. Gunjali, Asst. Lec, Dept. of Mental Health Nursing, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College.Lastly vote of thanks and feedback were collected by Ms. Anjali B.sc (N) IV year student, PDMSNC and the programme was ended at 12 pm.
The programme was successfully organisedunder the guidance of Prof. Dr. Geeta ParwandaPrincipal& Dean, PDMSNC, and with special contribution ofAsso. Prof. Neha Tiwari, Asst. Prof. Khusboo Rani, Asst. Lect Komal Saxena and Asst. Lect.Gunjali Singh.
