“Legal Awareness and Sensitization Program”
Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, during Legal Literacy and awareness week ” (20-11-23 to 26-11-23) organized an awareness and sensitization program on dated 23.11.23 in the Subharti Puram and Ved Vyaspuri NH-58 Meerut Subharti Law College Under the direction of Director of the Subharti Law College Mr. Rajesh Chandra (Former Justice, Prayagraj, High Court, Uttar Pradesh) and under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean, Subharti law college Meerut, with the help of Dr Reena Bishnoi (Coordinator Legal Literacy and awareness week) Program was coordinated by Dr. Sarika Tyagi, Convener Law Club. The students were divided into 4 groups and reached Subharti Puram Meerut located on Highway No. 58 and sensitized the peoples especially the students and general public in the University campus. During the legal awareness survey program, students asked around 85 people about cyber crime and the redress mechanism and told them that it is important for every citizen of India to have knowledge about Cyber crime and how they can deal with such kind of fraud occurring in the present scenario. The objective of celebrating Legal Literacy and awareness week is to provide free legal services to the people of weaker sections, to provide legal services to women, persons with disabilities, children, etc. The objective of the Government of India and Uttar Pradesh State government to celebrate this week is to uplift the marginalized class, to be informed about various schemes also, the objective of this awareness program is to educate people about free legal aid services. Through this survey program Common people were made aware about Providing free legal advice and services to the poorest of the poor and helpless sections of the society by the Subharti free legal aid clinic. The main focused area of the campaign was Cyber Awareness. In this awareness program Devansh Sagar, Ayush Anand , Gracy, Shetal Somya, Anshika, Ambika, Ritika, Manik, Mohd. Uvais, Sonali Roy, Anupam Krishna Murthy, Ankita, Anushrestha, Rahul-II and Yashasvi etc. contributed to the program.
