Youth Group’s Classical Singing, playing and Dancing Resonated in Subharti.
Under the auspices of UP Sangeet Natak Akademi, Ministry of Culture, a grand event of Youth Group Classical Singing and Dance Competition was organized at the Satyajit Ray Prekshagraha in the Performing Arts Department, Lalit Kala Sakany Subharti, Meerut Division. In the competition, there was a competition of young artists from Meerut and other areas in Khayal, Tarana, Dhrupad Dhamar, Thumri, Ghazal, Tabla and Kathak dance for the contestants of 20 to 25 years of age. In this competition, the judge of Kathak dance was Guru Pandit, a famous dancer from Lucknow.
Well-known artists of the country participated in the jury of the competition. Famous Kathak dancer Prof. Kumkum Dhar from Lucknow, famous Dhrupad Dhamar singer P. Vinod Kumar Dwivedi from Kanpur and Dr. Pawan Tiwari from Lucknow were the judges for the instrumentalists.
The participants completed the competition with a tough challenge. In Kathak dance, Riya Malhotra, a student of Subharti University, got the first place, Para Ayushree and Tejashwi got the second place and Ankit Rajput got the third place. As the judge of singing, Pandit Vinod Kumar Dwivedi selected the participants by giving his expert decisions. Vinod Kumar ji, apart from being a well-known artist of Dhrupad, is also a senior artist of ICCR and Doordarshan. He is also awarded by Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy. Aishwarya Singh of Meerut province got first place in Dhrupad Dhamar. In Khayal singing, Aalim Khan of Subharti University won the first place by singing Vrindavani Sarang and pleased the jury with her cow impression and won the second place by singing the famous Thumri Aaj Hoon Na Aaye Sajniya Shyam Mere Sun in Mishra Pahadi. Vivek Mishra got second place and Aishwarya Singh got third place. Under Thumri Dadra singing style, Vivek Mishra got first place, Alia Khan got second place and Aleem Khan got third place. The contestants who get first position in all these competitions will be invited again for tough competition in Lucknow. In which there will be a competition for the first prize winners selected from all 18 divisions.
The chief guest of this program was Neeta Gupta, President of the Cultural Cell of Bharatiya Janata Party. Who greatly praised and appreciated this program. Renu Srivastava ji, who came from Lucknow, convenor of this competition, thanked the Executive Officer of the University, Professor Shalya Raj, Vice Chancellor Dr. K Thappaliyal, Dean of the Faculty, Professor Pintu Mishra and Head of the Department, Professor Bhavana Grover for the successful event organized under the aegis of Subharti University. Gave and praised the successful program. Even after the competition continued till late, the auditorium was seen filled with enthusiastic students and the Vice Chancellor and Executive Officer of the University watched the program till the end and encouraged all the participants. The announcer of the program was Nishi Chauhan and the coordinator of the program at Subharti University, Professor Bhavna Grover ji expressed gratitude to all the distinguished guests, the jury and the participants at the end of the program. Dr. Shweta Chaudhary, Dr. Indresh, Shweta Singh and Akshay Sharma supported the program. Musical accompaniment was done by Maharaj Khan, Fardeen Khan and Mr. Abhishek Mishra.
