Swadeshi (Embrace Swadeshi, Save Nation on the occasion of National Youth Day

 Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law organized an inspiring motivational talk to celebrate National Youth Day, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event was organized under the guidance of former Justice Rajesh Chandra, Director Subharti Institute of Law and graced by Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Bansal, a distinguished faculty member and Chairman, Wellness Centre, S.V.S.U., whose expertise provided valuable insights into the economic dimensions of Swadeshi.

The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by Dean Faculty of Law, Dr. Reena Bishnoi welcoming the guest speaker with a planter. The program began at 11:00 AM with a warm welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Reena Bishnoi, Dean of Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law. She outlined the significance of National Youth Day and the relevance of Swadeshi in contemporary India. She also emphasized the importance of using social media positively, guiding students to be mindful in their use of social media and AI, and to leverage them solely for learning new things. The auditorium was filled with enthusiastic students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff, reflecting the University’s commitment to fostering national consciousness among the academic community.

Following welcome address, Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Bansal delivered the keynote on “Uses of Swadeshi Items and National Economic Independence.” He emphasized that true national sovereignty depends on economic independence and conscious consumer choices. The speaker highlighted concrete examples of Indian products across textiles, handicrafts, herbal medicines, agricultural goods, IT services, and renewable energy solutions, demonstrating how youth can contribute to the national economy by prioritizing indigenous alternatives without sacrificing quality or innovation. The speaker also recited patriotic songs, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present.

Following this, Ms. Alima Khan gave a wonderful performance of the patriotic song “Agar Desh Ke Kaam Na Aa Sake,” captivating the audience.

Towards the conclusion, Ms. Sonal Jain, Assistant Professor, Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law, delivered a vote of thanks. The event concluded with the felicitation of guest speaker Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Bansal, followed by the recitation of the National Anthem.
