National Science Day Celebration 2024

National Science Day was celebrated in Keral Verma Subharti College of Science. The program started with the lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana by the chief guest Mrs. Ambli V. Professor Nursing College, Dean of Science College, Prof. (Dr.) Renu Mavi, Professor (Dr.) Vinay  Panwar and all the heads of departments.Oral talks and essay writing competitions on subjects including science for society, jobs in the future in light of technological disruption, indigenous technology for developed India, and creative and long-lasting solutions to present issues were held as part of this program. Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Ekta Gupta, and Dr. Mohd. Faisal Siddiqui were the jury members for oral presentation competition. Dr. Vishal Kumar, Dr. Rajeev, and Professor (Dr.)Anju Rani made up the essay writing competition jury. The top three winners of the oral presentation competition were Damayanti Majumdar, Abhinav, and Prakhar Raj respectively. The winners of the essay writing competition were Ayanam Taggu, Avani Singh, and Ayush Raj in the English edition, and Riya Gaur, ShrutiJha, and ShrutiSangam in the Hindi version.

The college also hosted a number of events pertaining to Swachh Bharat, environmental preservation, and health and hygiene. Mrs. Ambli V., a professor at the Nursing College, gave a powerful talk on cleanliness and health as part of this program, whereby she emphasized the significance of maintaining cleanliness in order to get optimal health. To raise awareness of the value of environmental conservation, a competition to build models out of waste materials was held. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Preeti Singh, and Dr. Pramod Kumar served as the member of jury for model-making competition. DevMathur, Avni Singh, Rahul Kumar, and PragatiKumari were the competition winners. College students and sanitation personnel also ran a cleaning drive in line with the “Swachh Bharat Mission.”

Dr. Dhirpal Singh, Dr. Faheem Ahamad, and Dr. AftabAlam were the program’s coordinators. Dr. Ankit Kumar Goyal, Mr. Mandeep Kumar, Dr. Neeru, and Dr. Amod Kumar contributed to the efficient execution of several tasks. Dr. Preeti Singh gave a formal vote of appreciation at the end of the event and complimented all of the participants and organizers. The stage was run by second-year B.Sc. Chemistry student Riya Gaur. Every member of the teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as the students, helped to make the program a success.
