Open Kabaddi Competition 2024 (Men’s Category)
Major Dhyan Chand Physical Education Department of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University organized the Open Kabaddi Competition (Men’s Category), 2024 at Major General Mohan Singh Sports Ground. In this competition, various teams like M.I.T Meerut, Vidya Knowledge Park, Millennium Public School, N.A. S. College Meerut, Subharti University Meerut, Lloyd Tiger, UP Yoddha, Meerut Kabaddi Academy, Vijendra Kabaddi Academy, Keshav Ghaziabad, Sarvodaya Inter College Baghpat, 12 Battalion Jat Regiment, A.P.S. Aranwali, A.S. Academy participated. The competition was organized under the direction of program coordinator Dr. Manju Adhikari and co-coordinator Mr. Sanjeet Prasad. Professor Dr. Sandeep Choudhary, Dean of the Faculty of Education Department, welcomed the Chief Guest, Major General G.K. Thapliyal, Vice-Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Co-Registrar Professor Dr. Abhayshankar Devgoda, Deans of all the colleges, all the teachers, students and participants. The Chief Guest Vice Chancellor encouraged the Kabaddi players and extended his best wishes. This competition was inaugurated by the chief guest Major General G.K. Thapliyal by breaking the coconut. He congratulated Professor Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Head of the Department of Physical Education, and his entire organizing team for successfully organizing the tournament. In this competition, teachers and caretakers of the Physical Education Department made important contributions in various roles. First place in the competition went to UP Yoddha, second place to B.K. The third position was jointly secured by the Academy and NAS College and 12 Battalion Jat Regiment. The team securing first place will receive a prize money of Rs 4001, certificate and medal, the team securing second place will receive a prize money of Rs 3001, certificate and medal and the team securing joint third place will receive a prize money of Rs 2001. Certificate and medal were presented.The role of judge in this competition was played by Dr. Manoj Kumar, Mr. Sanoj, Mr. Pulkit Choudhary and Mr. Vikas Choudhary. In this competition, teachers of the Physical Education Department, Dr. Manju Adhikari, Dr. Praveen Shehrawat, Dr. Deepak Raghav, Dr. Atul Tiwari, Dr. Salim Javed, Dr. Tushar Alekar, Dr. Ankit Singh Jadaun, Mr. Shubham Rathi, Mr. Kapil Shakya also made important contributions.
