Meerut. On May 30, an online program was organized on the occasion of Hindi Journalism Day under the joint aegis of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University’s college ‘Rahul Sankrityayan Subharti School of Linguistic and Foreign Languages’ and ‘Tathagat Shodhpeeth’. In the program, Ratnasutra was recited for journalists across the country to protect them from the corona epidemic. Buddhist scholar Bhante Dr. Chandrakirti performed special veneration by lighting the Dhammadeep and reciting the Ratnasutra to protect the journalists from the corona epidemic.
Brigadier Dr. VP Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Subharti University extended best wishes on Hindi Journalism Day. He said that journalism is the fourth pillar of democracy and journalists have a commendable role in exposing the truth by becoming the representative of the people. He said that Hindi journalism has done excellent work for the upliftment of the Hindi language along with giving a new direction to the society and has given momentum in developing the country through the information of concern to the society. Encouraging all the journalists and cinematographers across the country, he venerated them for their protection from the Corona pandemic.
The Chief Executive Officer of Subharti University, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj wished the journalists across the country on Hindi Journalism Day. She said that this day is dedicated to the soldiers of the pen and the way journalism is being done to strengthen democracy in our country is very commendable. She said that journalism is the only field in which selfless work of social upliftment and voice against oppression is raised. She added that it is a matter of great pride that during the Corona pandemic, journalists have done an excellent job of spreading awareness about the pandemic among the public by empowering the resources of information whilst endangering their lives. He appealed to the journalists across the country to publish the issues of social concern prominently and said that in the changing environment of society, journalism needs to be constantly alert to maintain its credibility.
Dr. Heero Hito, Advisor, Samrat Ashok Subharti School of Buddhist Studies said that Hindi journalism has given a new direction to society and has worked to bind all sections of the society in one thread. Journalism is the medium that has done a renaissance in India and has tried to end the distortions prevalent in society. He said that on this day, while calling the journalists of the country as warriors, protecting journalists from the corona pandemic by organizing an online program and Ratnasutra recitation under the joint aegis of ‘Rahul Sankrityayan Subharti School of Linguistic and Foreign Languages’ and ‘Tathagat Buddha Chair’ of the university.
Subharti University’s media in-charge Anam Sherwani greeted the journalists and pen-makers across the country on Hindi Journalism Day. He paid tribute to the nationalist journalist Pandit Jugal Kishore Shukla. He said that the way Pandit Jugal Kishore Shukla, through the first Hindi newspaper Udant Martand, raised his voice against injustice, atrocities and worked to unite the countrymen in the thread of unity. In this sequence, today the country needs nationalist journalism so that by bringing awareness in the society, we can illuminate the name of our country on the world stage with social upliftment.
As the keynote speaker in the program, Dr. Seema Sharma threw detailed light on the history of Hindi Journalism Day.
Pallavi Tyagi made everyone aware of the features and facts related to the first Hindi newspaper Udant Martand.

सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय में पत्रकारों की कोरोना महामारी से रक्षा हेतु किया गया रत्नासूत्र पाठ
हिंदी पत्रकारिता दिवस पर सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय में ऑनलाइन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन
मेरठ। स्वामी विवेकानन्द सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय के महाविद्यालय ’राहुल सांकृत्यायन सुभारती स्कूल ऑफ लिंग्विस्टिक एंड फॉरेन लैंग्वेजेस’ एवं ’तथागत शोधपीठ’ के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में 30 मई को हिंदी पत्रकारिता दिवस के अवसर पर ऑनलाइन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में देशभर के पत्रकारों के लिये कोरोना महामारी से रक्षा हेतु रत्नासूत्र पाठ किया गया। बौद्ध विद्वान भंते डा. चन्द्रकीर्ति ने धम्मदीप प्रज्ज्वलन कर एवं रत्नासूत्र पाठ के साथ पत्रकारों की कोरोना महामारी से रक्षा हेतु विशेष वंदना की।
सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति ब्रिगेडियर डा.वी.पी.सिंह ने हिन्दी पत्रकारिता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दी। उन्होंने कहा कि पत्रकारिता लोकतन्त्र का चौथा स्तम्भ है और जनता के प्रतिनिधि बनकर सच्चाई को उजागर करने में पत्रकारों की सराहनीय भूमिका है। उन्होंने कहा कि हिन्दी पत्रकारिता ने समाज को नई दिशा देने के साथ हिन्दी भाषा के उत्थान हेतु उत्कर्ष कार्य किया है एवं समाज में सरोकारी सूचनाओं के माध्यम से देश को विकसित करने में गति प्रदान की है। उन्होंने देशभर के समस्त पत्रकारों व छायाकारों का उत्साह वर्धन करते हुए उनकी कोरोना महामारी से रक्षा हेतु वंदना की।
सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय की मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी डा.शल्या राज ने देशभर के पत्रकारों को हिन्दी पत्रकारिता दिवस की मंगलकामनाएं दी। उन्होंने कहा कि आज का दिन कलम के सिपाहियों को समर्पित है और जिस प्रकार पत्रकारिता द्वारा हमारे देश में लोकतन्त्र को मज़बूती देने का कार्य किया जा रहा है वह बहुत सराहनीय है। उन्होंने कहा कि पत्रकारिता ही एक ऐसा क्षेत्र है जिसमें निःस्वार्थ भाव से सामाजिक उत्थान के कार्य तथा जुल्म के खिलाफ़ आवाज़ बुलन्द की जाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह बड़े गर्व की बात है कि कोरोना महामारी में पत्रकारों ने अपनी जान पर खेल कर सूचना के संसाधनों को सशक्त बनाकर जनमानस में महामारी के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाने का उत्कर्ष्ट कार्य किया है, जिससे हमारे देश की जनता में जागरूकता आई है। उन्होंने देशभर के पत्रकारों से सामाजिक सरोकार के मुद्दों को प्रमुखता से प्रकाशित करने की अपील की और कहा कि वर्तमान समय में समाज के बदलते वातावरण में पत्रकारिता को अपनी विश्वसनीयता बनाये रखने के लिए निरंतर सजग रहने की आवश्यकता है।
सम्राट अशोक सुभारती स्कूल ऑफ बुद्धिस्ट स्टडीज के सलाहकार डा. हिरो हितो ने कहा कि हिंदी पत्रकारिता ने समाज को एक नई दिशा प्रदान की एवं समाज के सभी वर्गों को एक सूत्र में बांधने का कार्य किया है। पत्रकारिता ही वह माध्यम है जिसने भारत में पुनर्जागरण किया और समाज में व्याप्त विकृतियों को समाप्त करने का प्रयास किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के पावन दिवस पर देशभर के पत्रकारों को योद्धा की संज्ञा देते हुए विश्वविद्यालय के ’राहुल सांकृत्यायन सुभारती स्कूल ऑफ लिंग्विस्टिक एंड फॉरेन लैंग्वेजेस’ एवं ’तथागत शोधपीठ’ के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में ऑनलाइन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करके पत्रकारों की कोरोना महामारी से रक्षा हेतु रत्नासूत्र पाठ से विशेष वंदना की गई हैं।
सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय के मीडिया प्रभारी अनम शेरवानी ने देशभर के पत्रकारों, एवं क़लमकारों को हिन्दी पत्रकारिता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दी। उन्होंने राष्ट्रवादी पत्रकार पंडित जुगल किशोर सुकुल को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। उन्होंने कहा कि जिस प्रकार पंडित जुगल किशोर सुकुल ने हिन्दी के प्रथम समाचार पत्र उदन्त मार्त्तण्ड के माध्यम से अन्याय, अत्याचार के विरूद्ध आवाज़ उठाकर देशवासियों को एकता के सूत्र में पिरोने का कार्य किया। इसी क्रम में आज देश को राष्ट्रवादी पत्रकारिता की जरूरत है ताकि हम समाज में जागृति लाकर सामाजिक उत्थान के साथ अपने देश का नाम विश्व पटल पर रोशन कर सकें।
कार्यक्रम में मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में डा.सीमा शर्मा ने हिन्दी पत्रकारिता दिवस के इतिहास पर विस्तृत प्रकाश डाला।
पल्लवी त्यागी ने हिन्दी के प्रथम समाचार पत्र उदन्त मार्त्तण्ड की विशेषताओं व इससे जुड़े तथ्यों से सभी को अवगत कराया।
