On September 20, 2024, the Intellectual’s Reading Club, Faculty of Education, SVSU, and Meerutsuccessfully organized a Self-Written Story Writing Competition focused on the theme “Role Model of Your Life.” The event aimed to enhance students’ writing skills and foster their imagination, while also encouraging them to reflect on the positive influences in their lives. Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, Vice Chancellor, SVSU and Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, CEO, SVSU highly appreciated the efforts of intellectual’s reading club’s members and students of Faculty of Education, and also congratulated them. Prof (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Acting Dean, Faculty of Education, congratulate the winners and appreciated all the participant’s efforts. Total fifty four participants engaged enthusiastically, sharing their personal stories and insights about their role models. The event not only provided a platform for creative expression but also encouraged students to recognize and appreciate the positive aspects of their lives. Vikrant Baliyan, M.P.Ed, first semester, got the first position. In this series, second position was secured by Dhani, student of B.El.Ed first semester and third position was secured, by Deepika Sangwan, student of M.Ed third semester, fourth position was secured jointly by Vedika Verma, B.El.Ed seventh semester, Itisha Sharma, B.El.Ed first semester, and fifth position was secured by Anushka Singh B.P.Ed I year. All participants were very happy specially winners of the competitions.
Dr. Salim Javed, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education and Rahul Kumar, Lecturer, Department of Education, Faculty of Education were the judges of the competition. All the students who participated in the self-written story writing competition wrote very effectively, in which Jyotiba Phule, APG Kalam, Swami Vivekanand, Parents, Brother, Sister, Babaji, Grandmother, Sushmita Sen, Myself were considered the ideals/model of their life. Vedika Verma, Shruti Gupta, B.El.Ed. 7th and 5th semester students, along with Devendra and Manu Pal, B.P.E.S. 4th semester students made it lively under the guidance of convenors of the competitions Dr. Reeba Devi and Dr. Ankit Singh Jadon. Dr. Reeba Devi, expressed gratitude to all participants and encouraged the continuation of such events in the future, fostering an environment of creativity and learning within the university. Againshe thanking everyone encouraged the students to keep organizing such events in the future as well. Overall, the competition achieved its objectives, demonstrating the power of collaboration and the importance of role models in personal development.
