Talk on Women’s Health and Hygiene

The Women Empowerment Committee of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, in collaboration with the Hear the Silence Foundation, organized an enlightening lecture on “Women’s Health and Hygiene” today. The event was graced by distinguished speakers and attendees, including faculty members and students from various disciplines.

The session commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Anshul Trivedi, Chairperson of the University Women Empowerment Committee, and Dr. Manju Adhikari, Secretary, who presented a plant as a token of respect to Ms. Neha Vats Kacker, Founder Secretary of Hear the Silence Foundation. Dr. Aruna Bansal, Dr. Rakhi Jha, and Dr. Rafat Khanam-members of the Women Empowerment Committee also extended a hearty welcome to all the speakers.

The primary speaker, Dr. Sudhi Kamboj, Director and CEO of BENS Super-Speciality Clinic and Consultant and Head of the Department of Breast and Endocrine Surgery at Nutema Hospital, Meerut, delivered a comprehensive lecture on women’s health. Dr. Kamboj focused on crucial topics such as breast cancer, PCOS, thyroid disorders, and the importance of basic nutrition. She emphasized the significance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and called upon female faculty and students to be more proactive in managing their health. Dr. Kamboj also stressed the importance of preventive care and spreading awareness on health issues among women.

Following Dr. Kamboj’s lecture, Ms. Shivoli Mathur, CEO of Ahaara and an expert in nutrition and wellness, addressed the attendees on the importance of fitness, maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, ensuring adequate sleep, and aligning with the body’s natural Circadian rhythm for overall well-being.

The program also featured an interactive session, where participants actively engaged with the speakers, asking insightful questions and clarifying their doubts.

Ms. Neha Vats Kacker, Founder Secretary of Hear the Silence Foundation, shared her perspective on women’s empowerment and health. She encouraged all women to prioritize self-care and, on the auspicious occasion of the Navratri festival, to take a pledge to lead a healthier, happier lifestyle.

The program witnessed the active participation of faculty members and students from various departments, including BDS, MDS, BNYS, BPT, ANM, GNM, BPED, BPES, and MPED.

The event concluded with a sense of learning and empowerment, as attendees left with valuable insights into maintaining their health and well-being.
