The value added course on
“CORRELATION OF INDUSTRIAL STEPS WITH CLINICAL STEPS IN DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGY” was organized under the Headship of Dr. Mayur Kaushik ( Professor & Head, Dept. of Periodontology & Implantology, Subharti Dental College & Hospital) to enhance the student’s knowledge and skills beyond curriculum. The course aimed to provide practical exposure and industry relevant skills.
The Value Added Course was inaugurated by Principal, Dr. Nikhil Srivastava, Dr. Mayur Kaushik (Professor & Head) and various Heads of the Department, Subharti Dental College & Hospital, Meerut.
The sessions were conducted by experts from academia and industry and corporate industry Dr. Neeta Shetty, Director Operations NOUETA HEALTHCARE Inc. She is trained in CAD/CAM at Nobel Biocare APAC headquarters. Dr. Neeta Shetty Recipient of Nobel Biocare’s Best Practices Award.

Team of SIN Implants have also joined the program, Global sales Director Ms. Juliana and International marketing Head Ms. Thaisa Passos from Brazil and Indian country manager Mr. Sayantan Bennerjee.
The objectives of the course were understanding the industrial steps in implant manufacturing. The processes involved in milling of Dental Implants, the apparatus used for Sand blasting & Acid Etching and finally the protocols followed in sterilization of Dental Implants.
A total number of 178 students (Post graduates, BDS final year and Interns) enrolled and participated in VAC. Attendance and active participation were recorded. Participants provided positive feedback, appreciating the relevance and clarity of the sessions conducted. An assessment was conducted at the end to evaluate learning outcomes. Certificates were awarded to all the participants.
The outcomes of the Course achieved were improved practical knowledge and clarity about the manufacturing process involved in Dental Implants. The course was successfully completed and met its intended objectives. The Department under the guidance of Dr. Mayur Kaushik (Professor & Head) plans to continue offering similar courses to benefit more students in future.
