The Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, in collaboration with Dr. Ambedkar Chair, organised a Nukkad Natak (street play) titled “Vigilance in Motion: Street Play for Ethical Living” on Wednesday, 5th November 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the university campus. The event was conducted as part of Vigilance Awareness Week, aiming to spread awareness among students and the community about moral values, honesty, integrity, and social responsibility.
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, and the Chief Executive Officer, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, conveyed their best wishes to the students and appreciated their efforts.
On this occasion, Lt. Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education; Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, Head, Department of Education; Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Chair Professor, Dr. Ambedkar Chair; along with all esteemed faculty members of the Department of Education, were present.
The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Reshu Rani, who ensured the smooth execution of the programme and encouraged active participation from students.
The street play delivered a powerful message on social vigilance, depicting issues such as online fraud, offline theft, corruption, cybercrime, and awareness through impactful performances and thought-provoking dialogues. The students conveyed the message that every individual must remain alert and ethical in both their digital and real-life interactions.
During the event, Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, Head, Department of Education, appreciated the students’ efforts and stated that moral awareness and social responsibility among youth form the foundation of a corruption-free society. Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj highlighted that such activities play a vital role in developing social consciousness and strengthening the ethical dimension of education, urging everyone to adopt these values in their daily lives.
The active participation and enthusiastic performances of the students made the event highly successful. Their presentation not only impressed the audience but also inspired them to adopt a vigilant, honest, and ethical lifestyle. The collective efforts of the faculty members and students made this awareness campaign both educational and inspirational.
The programme concluded with resounding applause and appreciation, reaffirming Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’s commitment to continuously foster socially aware, responsible, and ethical citizens.
