The Department of Education, Faculty of Education, and Dr. Ambedkar Chair, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, jointly organized an “Vigilance Oath” activity on 31 October 2025 in the Courtyard of Faculty of Education under Vigilance Awareness -2025 on the theme “Be the Change: Promoting Integrity and Vigilance in Public Life.”
The event aimed to foster integrity, transparency and accountability and a collective sense of responsibility towards building a corruption free society among students, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal-16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). CEO of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Prof (Dr.) Shalya Raj conveyed her best wishes and said that as a university we have a unique responsibility to create awareness for making corruption free society. Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Professor( Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma sent his best wishes for the success of the program.
Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, said that it is a collective responsibility to create public awareness and fight against corruption. Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, Head, Department of Education, said that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to high standard of honesty. Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Chairman, Dr. Ambedkar Chair, explained the relevance of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s ideals of justice and equality in building an ethical society. Dr.Prem Chandra ,member,Dr. Ambedkar Chair, said the aim of activity is to create sensitivity about the need for ethics and transparency, Prof( Dr.) Pintu Mishra ,Dean,SIFF, Dr.Nisha Rana ,In-charge I.P.R cell, Mr. Lucky Tyagi ,Assistant Prof.,Mr. Lakshya Kumar lecturer in SIFF, Mr Ankur Gola Lecturer Subharti Defence Academy shared their views on theme Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Roopam Jain, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, FoE, SVSU. Students and faculty members of different colleges of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University participated in the event.
