Workshop on From Manuscript to Scopus and IPR

The Department of Languages, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), organized an impactful workshop titled “From Manuscript to Scopus and IPR: A Step-By-Step Guide for Humanities Researchers.” The workshop was conducted under the initiative of IPR and Innovation, aligned with the objectives of the Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC), and contributed actively to SGG-4 (Quality Education).

Dr. Seema Sharma, Head of the Department of Languages, coordinated the workshop and warmly welcomed the expert speaker, Dr. Anirudh Srivastava, In-Charge, Publication Cell and R&D Cell, SVSU, by presenting a plant sapling symbolizing growth, knowledge, and sustainable academic values. The Department of Languages promotes a culture of innovation, research excellence, and entrepreneurial thinking across the University. The IIC works toward fostering creativity, protecting intellectual property, and guiding students and faculty in transforming research ideas into impactful outcomes. Dr. Srivastava’s deep expertise in academic publishing, Scopus indexing, research ethics, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) enriched the learning experience for all participants.

During the workshop, Dr. Srivastava provided a detailed, practical roadmap covering manuscript structure, journal selection strategies, peer-review systems, plagiarism and ethical standards, and ways to safeguard original ideas through IPR. He emphasized the importance of quality research in the Humanities and guided scholars on how to navigate the global publication landscape effectively.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, research scholars, and students. Workshop was attended by Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Rafat Khanam, Dr. Ashish, Dr. Preeti, Dr. Ranveer, Dr. Nishi Raghav, Ms. Sanya, Dr. Abhijeet, Mr. Ankit, Dr. Manisha Luthra, along with several research scholars and students of the Department of Languages.

The workshop encouraged young researchers to adopt innovative approaches and adhere to ethical standards in academic writing. The organizers highlighted that the event strongly aligns with SVSU’s mission of expanding research excellence and strengthening quality education under the SDG-4 framework.

The Department of Languages expressed sincere appreciation to Dr. Anirudh Srivastava for his insightful guidance and thanked university authorities for supporting initiatives that nurture academic innovation and research advancement.
