World Immunization Week 2025
Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized an awareness lecture on the theme “Immunization for All is Humanly Possible” on the occasion of World Immunization Week 2025. The event was held on 24th April 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Yoga hall, MASCHNYS.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Niraj Nayan Rishi, Assistant Professor at MASCHNYS. Dr. Rishi delivered an insightful lecture on the aim and objectives of World Immunization Week 2025, shedding light on this year’s theme, which emphasizes the universal right to life-saving vaccines regardless of age, geography, or socioeconomic status.
He highlighted the incredible impact of immunization over the past five decades, including the saving of at least 154 million lives, which equates to nearly six lives every minute. Dr. Rishi also spoke on the National Immunization Program, underscoring its significant contributions in the prevention and control of various vaccine-preventable diseases in India.
The session encouraged students and faculty to spread awareness and support efforts to ensure equitable access to immunization for all. The lecture concluded with a Q&A session, sparking thoughtful discussions around vaccine outreach and community health initiatives
