World Radiography Day
The Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen Club of Department of Paramedical Sciences, Subharti Medical College, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (Meerut) celebrated World Radiography Day on 8th November 2023 with great enthusiasm and dedication. The event was coordinated by Mr. Vishwanath Pratap Singh and it brought together by other radiology faculty members.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and Sarswati Vandana, featuring the esteemed Director (General) D.C. Saxena, Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kishor Mishra, Dr. Umesh Kumar, Dr. Anshu Kumar Singh and Dr. Meenakshi Mishra including the distinguished faculty members. This ceremonial gesture signified the enlightenment and knowledge radiography brings to the medical field. The event continued with heartfelt speeches by Director (General) D.C. Saxena share the knowledge about role and responsibility of radio technologist and patient safety from radiation and Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kishor Mishra shared their insights on the significance of radiography in modern healthcare and research. Ms. Vaishali Rawat BRIT 2nd year student, took on the role of anchoring the event, adding a touch of youthful energy to the occasion.
After this student of BRIT 1st year Chittransh, BRIT 2nd year Pankaj Kumar and BRIT 3rd year Sakshi delivered an informative presentation and Mohd. Maviya Delivered a Speech on history of x rays.
One of the highlights of the event was the poster presentation and radiology quiz, which showcased the talents of the students. The posters were prepared by Vishakha, M.Sc MIT, 2nd year student, and Anam Rani and Nishat BRIT 2nd year student, who demonstrated their creativity and knowledge in radiography. Dr. Anshu Kumar Singh delivered a warm vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants for their dedication and hard work in making the event a success. Finally, the celebration reached its sweet culmination with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the unity and togetherness of the Wilhelm Conard Roentgen Club as they continue to illuminate the path of radiography.
