Guest Lecture on
“ETHICAL & MORAL OBLIGATIONS OF A DOCTOR”
Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut organized a Guest Lecture on “ETHICAL & MORAL OBLIGATIONS OF A DOCTOR” for the BNYS students & MD students on 9th November 2023 (Thursday) at 11:00 AM -1:00PM Yoga Hall of Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, Swami Vivekananda Subharti (SVSU), Meerut. Dr. Alok an Assistant Professor from SGT University was the resource person. The resource person Dr. Alok addressed that Doctors have significant ethical and moral obligations in their practice of medicine. These obligations are grounded in the principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice among others. He also stated some of the key ethical and moral obligations of a doctor: Beneficence, Truthfulness and Honesty, Confidentiality, Justice, Informed Consent, Compassion and Empathy, etc. He explained the importance of ethics in the medical profession, to distinguish between Ethics and law, What are clinical ethics, and professional ethics? What are the moral duties of a doctor? Total no. of 54 participants were participated in the lecture and completed successfully.
