National Conference on Recent Trends in Medical Diagnostic Technology
The Department of Paramedical Sciences has organized the 1st National Conference on theme “Recent Trends in Medical Diagnostic Technology (RTMDT-2023)” on 2-3 November, 2023. The first day of the conference was marked by a warm welcome to all esteemed guests, followed by a solemn and auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony in honour of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge by the Maj. Gen. (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Prof. (Dr.) Abhay Shankaregowda, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Bharti Gupta, Dr. Venkatesha Udupa, Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar, Dr. Bhawna Solanki, Dr. D.C Saxena (Director General, PMS) Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kishor Mishra (Head of Department), Dr. Umesh Kumar, Dr. Anshu Kumar Singh, Dr. Meenakshi Mishra.
Following the lamp-lighting ceremony, the 1st technical sessions of the conference commenced with a guest lecture by the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Rattan, expressed their support for the conference’s theme and objectives.
The Guest of Honor Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Bharti Gupta, Principal and Dean, Subharti Medical College, also addressed the attendees, underscoring the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in the field of paramedical sciences.
The Keynote Speaker, Dr. Venkatesha Udupa a renowned expert in the field, captivated the audience with an enlightening speech, shedding light on their potential to revolutionize healthcare.
Then Dr. Binit Kumar Singh, a leading scientist in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi emphasize the importance of the conference in advancing the field of paramedical sciences
The event commenced with the Organizing Secretary Dr. Umesh Kumar by introducing the program, outlining the schedule, and extending a warm welcome to all participants.
The Convener Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kishor Mishra then took the stage, delivering a gracious welcome address, expressing gratitude to all participants, and emphasizing the significance of the conference in advancing healthcare through technology.
The Patron Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj of the conference followed with a profound address, underscoring the importance of embracing modern diagnostic technologies to enhance patient care and medical practice.
The Presidential Address by the Vice Chancellor, Maj. Gen. (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal reinforced the conference’s mission and vision, emphasizing the need for continuous learning and growth in the paramedical field.

After an inspiring inaugural ceremony, the National Conference on “Recent Trends in Medical Diagnostic Technology, (RTMDT-2023)” hosted by Dr. Meenakshi Mishra and Ms. Akanksha Singh and delved into a series of insightful technical sessions. The second technical session was graced by the distinguished keynote speaker, Dr. Venkatesha Udupa, a leading expert in the field. Dr. Venkatesha Udupa’s presentation provided a deep dive into the Urinary Biomarkers in Detection of Drug-Induced Nephrotoxicity and Acute Renal Injury, leaving the audience captivated and informed.
The conference’s momentum continued with the third technical session featuring the erudite Guest Speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar he address showcased the intersection of academic knowledge and practical applications in the field, offering valuable insights to the attending scholars and practitioners.
In the fourth technical session, attendees were privileged to hear from Guest Speaker Dr. Bhawna Solanki. Dr. Bhawna Solanki’s presentation focused on cutting-edge advancements and their potential to revolutionize healthcare.
These sessions provided a platform for attendees to engage with experts, share experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape in paramedical sciences.
The second day of the National Conference on “Recent Trends in Diagnostic Medical Technology,” hosted by the Dr. Meenakshi Mishra and Ms. Akanksha Singh on 3rd November 2023, began with the same warmth and enthusiasm as the first day, extending a hearty welcome to all the delegates and esteemed guest speakers.
After the fourth technical session on 2nd November 2023, the technical sessions for the second day i.e., 3rd November 2023 commenced with Technical Session 5, featuring the eminent speaker, Dr. Amar P. Garg, Research Director he presented a thought-provoking session on “Applications of Biosensors in Bioanalysis.” His expertise in the field shed light on the role of biosensors in advancing diagnostic technology, offering valuable insights to attendees.
Following that, Technical Session 6 followed, led by the accomplished Guest Speaker, Dr. Upendra Kumar, who addressed “Machine Learning in Biomedical and Healthcare: Applications and Opportunities.” his session explored the integration of machine learning into healthcare, highlighting its potential to revolutionize the industry.
Then Technical Session 7 featured Ms. Vibha Kumari, a respected expert in the field of optometry. Her presentation, titled “Eye care then & now: Recent advancements in optometry,” showcased the remarkable progress in optometry and eye care, emphasizing recent innovations and their impact on patient well-being.
Following these enlightening technical sessions, the conference provided a platform for students and faculty members to present their research through paper and poster presentations. This session allowed internal and external participants to share their findings, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and knowledge exchange. The poster and oral presentation session was judged by Dr. Acharna Aggrwal, Dr. Amit Kumar Goel, Dr. Braham Kumar Tiwari and Dr. Lubhan Singh.
The Convener, Dr. Pankaj Kishhor Mishra, began the valedictory event with a warm and grateful welcoming address, expressing gratitude to all participants for their outstanding contributions.
