Meerut witnessed an unforgettable evening as Design Castle 2026 unfolded as a grand celebration of style, creativity, and artistic brilliance.

The runway came alive as models from Mumbai, Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida delivered electrifying performances that blended elegance with attitude. This year’s theme, “Alchemy of Tones,” transformed the stage into a visual symphony—where colors, textures, and silhouettes fused into breathtaking fashion statements. From timeless traditional inspirations to bold contemporary expressions, each ensemble narrated a unique story. The audience was captivated as student-designed creations were brought to life with confidence, flair, and theatrical charm, creating an atmosphere filled with glamour, innovation, and pure creative energy.

The prestigious event was inaugurated by an esteemed panel of dignitaries including renowned Bollywood actor Mr. Rishi Bhutani, Miss Universe Himachal Pradesh 2025 Dr. Rizul, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, CEO Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Dean Dr. Pintu Mishra, and show coordinator Dr. Neha Singh.

Addressing the aspiring talents, Bollywood actor Mr. Rishi Bhutani inspired students with his insights, stating that confidence is the true essence of fashion. He encouraged young models to cultivate a strong personality, maintain fitness, build impactful portfolios, and remain digitally active. He emphasized that mastering ramp walk, expressions, and presence is what transforms passion into a profession.

Miss Universe Himachal Pradesh 2025 Dr. Rizul applauded the grandeur of Design Castle and shared a powerful message—success in the fashion world demands not just passion, but resilience and patience. She highlighted the importance of communication skills and deep industry understanding to truly shine in the glamorous yet competitive world of fashion.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Promod Kumar Sharma praised the students, describing the platform as a beautiful confluence of cultures that promotes unity through creativity. He emphasized that the fields of fine arts and fashion design are brimming with opportunities, and the university remains committed to nurturing talent and shaping future industry leaders.

CEO Dr. Shalya Raj reflected on the timeless connection between beauty and Indian culture, noting how the fashion industry continues to evolve as a powerful and radiant force. She expressed pride in the institution’s role in transforming students into confident individuals ready to dazzle on global platforms.

Dean Dr. Pintu Mishra shared that the show featured 10 spectacular rounds, including themes like Eclat Elegante, Emerge, Luxe Royal, Opus Regal, and Rasaantar. Each segment showcased not just fashion, but storytelling through design, movement, and expression. He emphasized that such platforms are essential for the holistic growth of students, helping them understand both artistic and technical aspects of the fashion industry.

Show coordinator Dr. Neha Singh highlighted the remarkable achievements of the participants. The Best Surface Ornamentation (Rasaantar) featured Alima, Aman, Varsha, Rahul, Himanshi, and Azma. The Best Commercial Collection (Eclat Elegante) Aarya, Nida, Mitali, Saloni. The Best Garment Construction (Opus Regal) winners were Yashika Chawla, Janvi Bana, Megha, Aradhana Kapasiya, and Janshika, The best Innovative Collection (Phoenix – Ashes to Aura ) winners are Muskan, Visakha Bana, Rashika, Anamta, Tanu, Preeti, Saloni, Alfia, sheetal, Kanika ,Manvi.

The jury panel, Ms. Nisha Maurya, Ms. Ekta Akhouri, Mr. Rony Kaula, carefully evaluated the talent  and creativity on display. The prestigious Best Design Collection DC 2026 Trophy was awarded to Adeeba Saifi, Sahil Panwar, Salim, Nandini Singh, Saloni, Vani Sharma, Sandhya, Madhu, Salisha Chaudhary, and Yashika.

  • The award for Model of the Year (Female) was won by Kumud.
  • The award for Model of the Year (Male) was won by Dipanshu.
  • The Best Panther Walk award was presented to Danish.
  • The Twinkling Toes award was won by Avdhi.
  • The title of Handsome Hunk was awarded to Prince.

Adding depth to the experience, a five-day intensive modeling workshop was conducted prior to the show under the expert guidance of choreographer Kapil Gauhari. Students received hands-on training in ramp walk, camera presence, and stage performance alongside professional models—bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry exposure.

The event also saw participation from industry expert Lyalpur Emporium, enhancing its professional edge. A special highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the annual magazine of the Fine Arts College, marking another milestone in celebrating creativity and achievement.
