SWAMI VIVEKANAND SUBHARTI UNIVERSITY HOSTS ALUMNI MEET “VIRTUAL SANGAM 2.0”
Meerut, 18 July 2026: SVSU Alumni Trust, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, successfully organised Alumni Virtual Sangam 2.0, in this meet, over 1,000 registered alumni from across India and abroad on one digital platform. The event celebrated the achievements of the University’s alumni while reinforcing the lifelong bond between the alumni and their alma mater.
The programme was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Munish C. Reddy, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer, Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Murthy, Executive Officer, Ms. Avani Kamal, Chairperson, SVSU Alumni Trust, Prof. (Dr.) Noopur Kaushik, President, Alumni Trust SVSU, along with Deans, Heads of Departments, Alumni Coordinators, faculty members, and alumni representing various faculties and departments of the University.
The event commenced with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Noopur Kaushik, who welcomed the distinguished guests and alumni. She stated that the inaugural Virtual Alumni Meet had been organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms. Avani Kamal, Chairperson of the Alumni Trust, with the objective of reconnecting alumni, strengthening lifelong relationships, promoting professional networking, and creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration with the University.
In his keynote address, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Munish C. Reddy described alumni as the University’s greatest ambassadors and living legacy. He said that the achievements of alumni reflect the values and quality of education imparted by the University and serve as a source of inspiration for current students. Calling Virtual Sangam 2.0 more than just a reunion, he described it as a platform for emotional reconnect, exchange of experiences, and building future collaborations. He encouraged alumni to remain actively associated with the University and contribute towards education, research, innovation, mentorship, and social development.
Executive Officer Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Murthy Addressing the Alumni, that the University considers its alumni its most valuable asset and remains committed to maintaining strong and enduring relationships with them. He highlighted that alumni can play a vital role in mentoring students, fostering innovation, strengthening industry-academia partnerships, and creating employment opportunities. He also warmly invited alumni to visit the Subharti campus whenever they are in Meerut, assuring them that they will always be welcomed as members of the Subharti family.
One of the highlights of the programme was an interactive alumni session moderated by Dr. Udit Kumar, during which alumni shared their memories, professional journeys, and experiences after graduating from the University. The event also featured engaging online games and fun-filled activities conducted by Dr. Smriti and Ms. Ujjwal, allowing participants to relive their campus days and reconnect with old friends in a lively and nostalgic atmosphere.
The programme was smoothly anchored by Dr. Shalu Nehra and Mr. Aadesh Kumar, while the formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Rakhi Kumari Jha, who expressed gratitude to the University leadership, organising committee, faculty members, alumni, and participants for making the event a grand success.
The successful organisation of Virtual Sangam 2.0 was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Rubi, Er. Gurusevak Kesarwani, Almash Saifi, Dr. Rakhi Kumari Jha, Dr. Shalu Nehra, Dr. Udit Kumar, Ram Prakash Tiwari, Dr. Kapil Rastogi, Dr. Ankit Jadaun, Rashmika Kashyap, Mr. Sachin, along with the technical team comprising Mr. Jatin Kumar, Mr. Anshul Chaudhary, Mr. Shubham Kaushik, Mr. Deepak, and with supporting team.
The inaugural edition of Alumni Virtual Sangam 2.0 concluded on a high note, reaffirming Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant, globally connected alumni network and strengthening the enduring relationship between the University and its alumni. The event laid a strong foundation for future alumni engagement initiatives and reflected the University’s vision of building lifelong partnerships with its graduates.
