A painting competition was organised in memory of establishment day of Azad Hind Government founded by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on celebration of “Akhand Bharat Swatantrata Diwas Mahaparv -2026”
on 10 September 2026, at Department of Education, F.o.E, S.V.S.U, Meerut, to encourage students to express their creativity, patriotism, and vision of a united and culturally rich India.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp , marking the beginning of the event. Prof (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Dean Fine Art and Faculty of Education warmly welcomed and conveyed best wishes to all the participants and appreciated the creativity shown by students. Prof (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, explained the significance of organizing such competition and emphasized the importance of awareness towards Nationalism. Dr.Roopam Jain Assistant Professor Department of Education, Faculty of Education, SVSU. coordinated the event. Dr.Shail Dhaka Associate Professor and Dr Bhuvnesh Sharma , Associate Professor DoE,FoE were the judges of the event.
Students B.Lallianpuri, Gollo atup , Lalhankimi ,Anam Kumar,Sangita ,Pooja,Dolly, Shri Ram Sharma, Simran Kumari, Kamini,Mehak, Prerana Singh, Arpita and many other students participated actively in the competition and showcased their artistic talents through colourful paintings depicting Netaji Leadership and National Character, Azad Hind Fauj and Discipline , National unity ,Nationalism and Modern India and the vision of Akhand Bharat.
The event provided students with an opportunity to express their thoughts and emotions through art while developing a sense of patriotism and appreciation for India’s rich cultural heritage. The paintings reflected subject comprehension, creativity, presentation, originality and the participants’ understanding of India’s historical and cultural unity.
The best entries were evaluated on the basis of creativity, originality, artistic expression, relevance to the theme, and overall presentation. Ms Prerna Singh of B.Ed 1 sem stood I in competition, Ms Arpita of B.Ed 1 sem stood ll in competition, Ch Arunam Kumar of B.Ed 1 sem stood lll in competition, Outstanding participants were appreciated and awarded for their excellent artistic contributions.
The main objective of the event was to create awareness about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Azad Hind Fauj ,and to give tribute to our freedom fighters thereby contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education).
The programme concluded with words of appreciation by Prof.(Dr.) Indira Singh, Academic Coordinator, Department of Education, Faculty of Education, SVSU. for all the participants and organizers. Students of M.Ed ,B.Ed. and B.El.Ed. participated enthusiastically in the competition, All faculty members Department of Education witnessed and supported the event.
