The Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, successfully organized an alumni guest lecture on “Self-Defense Techniques.” The special guest of the event was Ms. Shagun from Ghaziabad, a former student of the university and a professional self-defense instructor.
The program began with the presentation of a plant and a sash by the Head of the Department and Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar. During the lecture, Ms. Shagun introduced the students to various technical aspects of self-defense and discussed in detail the importance of self-defense, especially for women. She also taught participants simple and effective techniques through practical demonstrations.
All faculty members, research scholars, and students of the department were enthusiastically present. The program aimed to increase self-defense awareness and self-confidence among youth.
