Awareness Activity on observance of National Voluntary Blood Donation Pledge

In compliance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) advisory and to mark National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (NVBDD), the Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut organized observance of national Voluntary Blood Donation Blood Donation Pledge Ceremony on 1st October 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Ground Floor, Faculty of Education.
The event was conducted in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education & Awareness) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — to promote a culture of voluntary blood donation and to raise awareness about saving lives through safe blood supply.
On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, conveyed his best wishes and appreciated the initiative of organizing such life-saving awareness activities. Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, Head, Department of Education, addressed the gathering before the pledge ceremony and emphasized the need and importance of voluntary blood donation, highlighting that every drop of donated blood can save a life and build a healthy, responsible society.
During the pledge ceremony, Dr. Reeba Devi, Event Coordinator, administered the Blood Donation Pledge to all participants, inspiring them to contribute selflessly to society by becoming regular voluntary blood donors and ambassadors of health and humanity.
All teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students enthusiastically participated in the event and took the Blood Donation Pledge to contribute actively to the cause of humanity. The event inspired participants to become responsible donors and motivated them to spread awareness about safe blood donation in the community.
