Basant Panchami Mahotsav by Subharti Law College

The Basant Panchami Mahotsav 2026 was organised on 23rd January, 2026 in Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law in a disciplined and devotional manner. The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Justice Rajesh Chandra, Former Judge, Allahabad High Court, and Director, Faculty of Law, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut.

The successful conduct of the programme was made possible through the effective leadership, academic guidance, and continuous support of Prof. (Dr.) Reena Bishnoi, Officiating Dean, Faculty of Law, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, whose guidance ensured adherence to institutional values and academic decorum.

The event was organised by the Cultural Club, Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law, with active participation of students, faculty members and non-teaching staff, ensuring systematic planning, smooth coordination, and successful execution of the programme.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble CEO, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, and Dean (Research & Development) Prof. (Dr.) Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, whose presence added dignity and significance to the occasion.

The programme commenced at 09:00 a.m. with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by the rendition of Saraswati Vandana, which created a spiritually uplifting and serene atmosphere. Thereafter, a Hawan was performed under the guidance of the Pandit Ji, wherein one of the students acted as the Yajman. All the dignitaries, faculty members, non-teaching staff and students present were given an opportunity to offer Aahuti in the Hawan Kund, thereby actively participating in the sacred ritual.

A festive photobooth was arranged for students to capture memorable moments. The Kite Making Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing creativity and innovation.

However, the Kite Flying Competition was cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions, keeping student safety as the foremost priority.

As part of the traditional observance, Tahari and Prasad were distributed among students, faculty members, and staff, symbolising devotion, sharing, and communal harmony.

After careful evaluation based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and presentation, the following participants were declared winners:

The top three participants were duly appreciated and awarded First, Second, and Third positions for their outstanding performance.

The Basant Panchami Mahotsav 2026 was celebrated with devotion, discipline, and cultural richness. Despite weather-related limitations, the programme was conducted smoothly and achieved its intended objectives, making it a meaningful and memorable experience for all participants.
