GUEST LECTURE
“SCOPE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNDER NEP 2020”
A Guest Lecture was organized by the Department of Physical Education, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut on 02 June 2023 on the topic “Scope of Physical Education under NEP 2020”. Expert of Guest Lecture was Dr. Barkha Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, SRDA Girls PG College , Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.
The event began with the presentation of potted saplings to the expert by Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, who formally welcome the expert and the audience. A brief introduction was given about the expert by the event coordinator Dr. Manju Adhikari, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Education, FOE, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut.
The expert has taken a lecture on topic “Scope of Physical Education under NEP 2020” for undergraduate students in Seminar Hall, Faculty of Education, SVSU.
Total 34 students and staff participated in this guest lecture. The speaker explains the new changes done by the MHRD especially in the field Physical Education. She briefly explained how new education policy plays an important role for the holistic development of the students. The lecture also discussed about the possibilities and reach abilities of research and development in the specific field. After his lecture the students were given time to interact with her. Students felt that the session was very informative and interactive. At the end of the guest lecture, some of the students gave their feedback, and explained how they were benefited. At the end of the guest lecture, Ms. Sonia Assistant Professor Physical Education thanked the expert Dr.
Barkha Bhardwaj and all the participants along with the faculty members of Physical Education, and gave best wishes to all students.
