The President of the World Heart Federation ‘Antoni Bayes De Luna’ conceived the idea of World Heart Day from 1997-1999. The World Heart Federation, in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO), announced September 29 as World Heart Day. With this year’s theme of ‘Used Heart for Every Heart’, Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences Meerut celebrated World Heart Day by organizing an awareness lecture at 9:30 am in LT-2, MASCHNYS. The resource person was Dr. Niraj Nayan Rishi, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS, who explained the importance of the day and also raised awareness about the concerns of cardiovascular diseases and Naturopathy and Yogic ways to prevent and treat the same. A total of 115 undergraduates and postgraduates participated in this program.
