The Department of Fashion and Textile Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, organized a One-Day Educational Industrial Visit to Vista Furnishing Limited, a renowned textile manufacturing company located in AminagarBhoorbaral, Meerut. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to textile production processes and real-time industrial operations.

The trip was coordinated and accompanied by Dr. Neha Singh, Ms. Devsuni Singh, Dr. Arpana Kamboj, and Dr. Surabhi Das, who guided and supervised the students throughout the visit. A total of 63 students, along with four faculty members, participated in the industrial tour.

All students were instructed to report to the college at 11:00 a.m. Before departure, Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Principal and Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, addressed the students and wished them a happy, enriching, and safe journey. The group departed from the college premises at 11:30 a.m. and reached the Vista Furnishing facility at 11:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, the team was welcomed and accompanied by Mr. Bharat Bhushan Singhal (HR of Vista Furnishing Limited) from the company, who facilitated the tour. Students were introduced to various textile production divisions, including yarn department (handle both cotton and polyester yarns), weaving department (equipped with advanced wide width looms including Jacquard, Dobby and blended looms), Dyeing & Processing department (include jet dyeing, jigger dyeing or other continuous dyeing techniques), quality control department (at every stage from yarn to final fabric), finishing department (fabrics undergo finishing to enhance their appearance, hand feel, and performance). One of the most notable finished products is their blackout fabric, which is specially treated to block light. This finishing also involves treatments for durability, aesthetic appeal, and usability in real-world applications such as blinds and curtains. At the end of the visit, Vista Furnishing showcased the ETP plant to operate environmentally compliant units including effluent-treatment facilities. The visit helped students observe the functioning of modern textile machinery and understand industrial workflow, safety standards, and quality assurance practices followed in the industry.

The educational visit proved to be highly informative, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial application. Students actively interacted with professionals, asked questions, and gained valuable insights into the textile manufacturing sector.

The Department expressed gratitude to Vista Furnishing Limited for their warm hospitality and support. The visit concluded successfully, fulfilling its objective of enhancing students’ practical understanding and industry readiness.
