Inter-Collegiate Debate Competition 2025 on the topic “Legal Safeguards for Women in India – Tools of Empowerment or Avenues of Misuse.”
On February 21, 2025, Shaheed Mangal Pandey Govt. Girls PG College, Meerut, hosted the Inter-Collegiate Debate Competition 2025 on the topic “Legal Safeguards for Women in India – Tools of Empowerment or Avenues of Misuse.” Two teams from Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law participated, consisting of Ms. Isha Tyagi (B.A.LL.B, 4th year) for the motion and Ms. Gargi Singh (B.A.LL.B, 3rd year) against the motion, in category English and Ms. Shubhangi Singh (B.A.LL.B, 4th year) for the motion and Ms. Suchita Tripathi (B.A.LL.B, 5th year) against the motion in Hindi category, participated in the event.
It is with great pride to share that the team comprising Isha Tyagi (B.A.LL.B, 4th year) and Gargi Singh (B.A.LL.B, 3rd year) secured the Runner-Up position in the English category. The event was graced by Nupur Goyal (IAS), CDO, Meerut, and Mr. Antariksh Jain (IPS) as the chief guests.
